It was a cold day on the thunderpath and Nightheart, the Thunderclan medicine cat was doing his daily routine on looking for the herbs he was low on. He spottef on the other side of the thunderpath not too far from him a slim small grey cat was chasing prey, and he didn't seem to notice the other cat.

Nightheart purred in satisfaction when he found his herbs and gently picked at them, placing them down where he could find them and went to look for more. He blinked as his herbs blew onto the middle of the Thudnerpath. Nightheart sighed and walked to get his herbs.

Suddenly the rumble of a monster could be felt underneath both cats' paws and Featherpaw, the slim grey cat, finally noticed Nightheart. He also noticed the blaring glare of the Monster as it speed closer and closer.

"Nightheart! Get out of the way!"

Nightheart looked up, seeing the apprentice and feeling the ground shake. For a second or two he was transfixed on his spot before survival instincts kicked in and ran to the apprentice It was quicker that way anyway.

"Idot! What do you think you were doing in the middle of the Thunderpath like that?" Featherpaw snapped. Being a Shadowclan cat, he inherited their sharp tounge and ready remarks.

The dark grey tom flattened his ears. "I didn't notice it! I was just getting my herbs and they blew on the Thunderpath!" he retorted back.

"You should pay more attention to your surroundings next time. Don't you know monsters always use the Thunderpath?! Or are Thunderclan cats too stupid to teach their cats anything?"

"I didn't ask for your help I could have got away myself without your warning," he said.

"of course. You were too worried about your precious herbs to even notice." Featherpaw sighed irritated. "Why am I even arguing with you? I have more important stuff to do."

"then do it." He hissed. Nightheart had a tounge sharp as a shadowclan cat, so he kept up with this feisty Apprentice.

Featherpaw snarled and flicked his bushy tail on his nose and picke dup the prey, bounding back to camp without a second glance.

Nightheart turned too, padding quickly over the Thunderpath and backto camp, in a 'disgusted' mood. He placed his herbs back in his den and walked into the clearing.

Nighthearts apprentice, Rockpaw was nursing a kit who had come down with greencough.

"Rockpaw… how is he doing? Did you give him any catmint?" Nightheart asked, worry in his voice.

"Yeah I did but he sint keeping it down. He keeps getting sick…" The dark regy apprentice said, his green eyes full of worry. "I scared he wont make it to sundown…"

"He's got to. I think I have an idea."
