Everyone had gotten together to hear Korsak play his guitar with Bobby, after they solved the case.

Jane and Maura were standing at the bar together, talking about their mini figurines.

Susie had shown up and talked to them for a few minutes, but then she walked away. Before he went on stage, Korsak also came to talk to them, but then he walked away too so he could get up on stage.

Maura and Jane were alone together at the bar for the most part, but that was ok, they liked it that way.

Up on stage, Bobby introduced himself and so did Korsak.

"And tonight we are Bobby and Vince."

The crowd cheered. Maura, Jane, Frankie, Susie, and Angela where smiling wide, proud of Korsak for what he was doing.

Korsak starts playing the guitar and singing. The audience is entranced. Jane is standing behind Maura grinning ear to ear. She wants desperately to wrap her arms around Maura's waist and sway with her.

Before she knows what she's doing, her arms wrap around Maura and squeeze. She feels Maura relax into her and they start swaying.

Both Maura and Jane are smiling wider than they ever have.

Maura takes one of Jane's hands from her stomach and pulls her forward.

Other people have already started dancing together in the middle of the room.

"Oh no Maura come on! We are not dancing."

Maura just smiles and pulls Jane along. Jane allows Maura to pull her knowing that she will get her to dance eventually.

Maura wraps her arms around Jane's shoulders and Jane places her hands on Maura's hips, groaning.

The music continues to play and they are silent.

"Come on and take a little walk with me.."

Jane looks down at the beautiful woman dancing in front of her.

Maura looks up and their eyes meet.

Jane clears her throat.

"Um I don't think best friends do this..."

Maura smirks

"Oh Jane, I think we are more than best friends."

Jane returns the smirk and raises an eyebrow.

"Oh well then I guess I can do this."

"Do wh-"

Maura was cut of by Jane's lips pressing hard against hers. Jane removed her hands from Maura's hips so she could wrap her arms around her waist, while Maura tightened her hold on Jane's neck.

They pulled back only when their lungs needed the oxygen, but they didn't completely break apart. Their foreheads pressed together, while they continued to sway, their arms wrapped tightly around each other.

They were staying into each other's eyes, in their own little world. They weren't paying attention to anyone else. All they could hear was the soft music playing in the background as they pressed their lips together again.
