Hiccup, a small black dragon, a Night Fury, gazed at the water in awe. He laid down on his stomach as he looked into the crystal water, watching all the beautiful colored fish swim around that cared not that he was watching them.
His mate, Toothless, another Night Fury identical to Hiccup, if not just a tiny bit bigger than the other, chuckled as he padded up to him. "They're beautiful, aren't they?" he asked as he laid next to Hiccup and the smaller dragon looked at him with wide, pretty emerald eyes that were filled with childish excitement.
"I've never seen so many colors in my life!" The smaller Night Fury exclaimed and Toothless smirked at him, pleased beyond words despite his apparent amusement at the words spoken.
"You never got out much when you were a hatchling, did you?" Hiccup shook his head sheepishly in answer.
"This is the first time I've ever been anywhere other than the cave in a long time." he sighed softly, resting his head on his paws and Toothless nuzzled him, cooing softly.
"Don't worry, you're mates with me, remember? I'll show you the most incredible places and things that you'd never imagined even existed. Certainly things you'd never even read about in those old scrolls of yours." he promised and Hiccup stuck his tongue out at the larger dragon, flicking his tail at Toothless before looking back into the water with a contented smile.
"I'd… like that." he whispered back and Toothless curled his tail around Hiccup's own in return.
"Good." Toothless said, nuzzling Hiccup's cheek. "I know you'll just love it." he added and Hiccup giggled, nuzzling him back.
"Good."
