The Beginning- Kaori's story
((Author's notes. Hey this is Chioki I'm writing for Kaori. I'm bad with making names so I usually use a name from a book. Both the names in this chapter I got from Azumanga Daioh. I do not own Lord of the Rings. I do own some form of a tv show that has been yet to be pitched. One more thing I hate writing for kids))
Here I am scribbling in my notebook in English class. Ha! Like I even need an English class I'm fluent in the dumb language anyway. I only take the class because first of, I know I can pass, and second off it's free credits. I've always wondered how I got accepted into Tokyo University anyway. Or any other prestigious school for that matter. I only apply to them as a joke and always ended up getting accepted to my great surprise. Other than that I guess you can say I'm Kaori Takino, the average nineteen-year-old Japanese college student who is trying to get a career in television show writing for American shows.
"Takino!" a voice yells snapping me out of my daze
"Huh? I mean, yes?" I reply quickly and see Professor Tanizaki looming over me.
"You need to go to the office The Dean wants to see you." She informs me. I feel a little uneasy wondering what I did this time. As I pack up my things into my briefcase I think of what it could be for. Maybe I failed last semester's final and I'm getting the boot! I fix my long black hair in its ponytail and I leave on my way.
When I get into The Dean's office I see him smiling creepily at me. "Oh Crap!" I think. Everyone knows when he smiles like that it is something very serious.
"Please Kaori sit down." he says too kindly as he points to the worn out red sofa. "I have good news and bad news." My heart sank. I was right I was getting the boot. "The bad news is you will not be in school for a while." he says but when he looks at the solemn expression on my face he knows what I'm thinking. "Don't worry you are not getting kicked out. You simply are going on a trip to lean about the history of the Eurasian border" I feel a weight lift from my mind.
As I walk to my dorm room I think of what I need to pack by tomorrow. Two weeks worth of clothes no doubt, bathroom stuff, hair stuff, notebook and pen, and of course some video games for the plane ride there. Incase you didn't know I'm a huge fan of action video games especially the Zelda series. I throw all my stuff into a bag later that night and flop on my bed for a goodnight's sleep.
I wake up the around 6 am and drowsily get into my car and drive to the airport. The sad thing is I almost got into five accidents on the way. I should have had a cup of coffee or something of the sort before I left, but I didn't have any time. When I get to the airport I lazily buy my ticket and get on the plane Funny I just realized I should have bought my head phones. Oh well.
