Disclaimer: I do not own Mutant X. Furthermore, I realize that this may very well be a load of crap. Why? Because it is my first Mutant X fanfiction and I have not been tracking the series beyond about ten episodes from this season and last season. This work is intended as a writing exercise. Helpful criticism is welcomed. "Stoopid bytch, yoo suk!" is not. All clear? Oh, and sorry about the awful formatting.
"Happy Town"
by Elyndewen Startree
A dull bang echoed from the inner wall of Shalimar's
bedroom. The sounds of other crashes and various
groans and moans that were mostly unintelligible
joined it in a cacophony of noise and sex. Lexa
sauntered into the computer room, a look of sardonic
half-amusement on her face. "Bren and Shal at it
again, then?"
Jess twirled around in his chair to face her. He
sighed and flashed her a lopsided grin. "You think?"
She smirked.
"I wish they'd get their act together. Good for them,
but, y'know, I really don't need to hear the times in
happy town."
It was Jesse's turn to smirk. He leaned forward a
little, his blue-green eyes glittering mischievously.
"Oh, I think you'd enjoy happy town if you went there
yourself."
"Offering to take me, Jess?" They were actually very
close - it was their custom to stay within an intimate
distance of each other as they battled, striking back
and forth with wit and tongue and teasing. Their
postures were the physical manifestations of
invitation and temptation. It was a contest. Who would
give in to the other first?
"What if I am?"
She raised a delicate eyebrow, the corners of her
light eyes turned up in a smile. "Hmmm..."
"Did you come here for a reason, Lexa? Or are you just
here to tell stories about Shal and Bren's visits to
happy town?"
"Oh I'm here for a reason," she purred, taking another
step forward and hooking one of her hands around the
back of his neck. Long fingers curled into his sandy
hair, massaging the muscles at the base of his head.
She leaned very close so that their noses almost
touched.
Jesse didn't look away from her eyes, though he knew
that the low v-neck of her halter top must be
providing a spectacular view to this angle. "Something
I can help you with?" His voice was steady. This was
just another round of this game they always played.
"...maybe." She leaned forward the last few inches,
her eyes closing slowly along with the short distance
between them. Their lips met, a gentle brush at first.
Barely touching like a little piece of heaven.
But soon the contact became more defined, firmer and
sweeter. Jesse stood and cupped her face with one
hand, finger tips feathering over her high cheekbones.
The other found itself drifting to her waist, a
position where it could better enjoy her curves. One
of her hands was still tangled in his hair, the other
resting on his shoulder. But it wasn't staying still.
Lexa sucked on his full lower lip, sighing as he ran a
hand through her long dark hair, stroking her side
through it. Their tongues darted out, the tips
touching playfully before sliding forward into a
passionate battle of loving exploration. Jesse smiled
when they came up for air. "Glad I could he-"
"Shut up, Jess." She kissed him briefly.
"Hey Lexa..."
"Quiet."
"...welcome to happy town."
"Dammit, Kilmartin!" She attacked him full force,
slamming his back into the wall. He grinned into her
aggressive kiss before responding, satisfied on
several different levels.
