Hey this is Celine and I am BACK with another Harry Potter story. SO grab you Harry Potter glasses, Harry Potter pillow, (and if your really obsessed like I am-Harry Potter slippers) and enjoy. (I do NOT own any of the Harry Potter characters, much to my disappointment. I am sorry-but I do not.)

Lily Potter sat on the roof of the astronomy tower and breathed in the night air. It had been one of those days where nothing seemed to go right. One of those days where as soon as she woke up, as usual, Potter had asked her out-again.

On the one hand, she admired Potter for his relentless courage. Denial had done nothing to his ego, it seemed.

On the other hand, it drove her insane. He had threatened to hex anyone who asked her out; he had used her as the object of his corny pickup lines and he had broken all her friends hearts at some point. It seemed as if she would never stop being the center of James' affections.

It didn't help that when she was walking down to the Gryffindor Common room that morning with a stack of papers, James had jumped out from literally nowhere and shouted,

"Morning Evans!"

And then proceeded to ask her out. Again.

He was so caught up in trying yet another of his stupid pick up lines when he knocked the papers out of her hands.

"Hey Evans, I was just wondering, am I a light?"

"What?" she asked. "No…"

"Well that's funny…because you keep turning me on."

Lily had rolled her eyes.

"Not now Potter, please."

And then her papers went flying all over. Some had even flown in the remnants of the blazing fire. One of which had been her homework for Professor Sprout, the Herbology teacher.

"Oh gosh, I am so sorry Evans!" he had said, running around picking up as many strewn papers as he could.

Lily held up a hand.

"Stop James. For one thing…my name is Lily. Say it with me: Li-ly. Not Evans. Second, I am late for classes and you have ruined the homework I spent hours on last night."

"Gosh…I really am sorry…. Lily." he said and hung his head and walked out.

When she finally arrived in Herbology, Lily was explaining how she accidently let the homework fly in the fireplace, and Sprout was telling her it was ok, and she could do it later when who should show up to save the day?

"Professor Sprout-wait" Potter had said, gasping for breath. He had ran in the classroom. "Lily is innocent. It was my fault the-"

"Potter-stop.." she had hissed.

"No-its ok Evans. I take full responsibility for my actions."

That was when they both received detention-together. She had received one for lying, and James for being careless with other people's things.

"I'm sorry Ev-"

But she had walked away.

And now, as she sat on top of the tower, Lily wondered why she was cursed with such a life that Potter was included in it.
