A dark 1st impression

It was a warm sunny day in London of August of 2007. I was on vacation with my friends for the summer. We'd met Thomas Starr in a coffee shop and asked us to come to his place. I was nervous. I was about to meet Melanie C.

"Mel I met an old friend today and he brought someone who is a fan." Tom said.

"Let them in. A visit with a fan would be lovely." Melanie replied weakly. Tom quickly ushered us into the living room. There laid a haggard Melanie. She was very malnourished causing her body to be thin. Her face was sunken in; even her eyes had lost their light. Her belly seemed to be her only healthy body part. She wore a long sleeve top and blue maternity jeans. However the belly seemed to protrude from beneath the top. It was the source of her anguish. Resting in her womb was a spawn of a demon.

"Hi I'm sorry I'm so sick. You must be Janie from Facebook." She said weakly rubbing her belly.

"I know I'm sorry I didn't mean to bother you while you're sick." I said meekly.

"It's quite alright. I'm actually glad you showed up Angel." She said weakly.

"What do you mean?" I asked shocked.

"Tom you didn't tell her?" Melanie asked weakly.

"I thought you would like too." Tom replied. She looks at me.

"I'm your au-nt An-gel." She said weakly as she began to cough harshly.

"Are you Ok?" I asked concerned.

"Yeah I'll be fine." She said weakly as she wiped a small about of blood off of her cheek.

"This must be a harsh pregnancy." I said

"No that's not it. I should tell you the truth." She said weakly.

"Wait so you're not pregnant?" I asked

"Well I am but not by normal means." She said weakly but darkly.

"I think I should let you girls to talk. Guys lets go into the kitchen." Tom said ushering the boys from the room.

"Alright now that the guys are gone I can tell you the truth. This pregnancy isn't natural. It's a demon." She said weakly.

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"It was a few weeks ago. I just suddenly woke up like this after having a weird dream and I was like this." She replied weakly.

"I have to admit this is weird. But this accelerated pregnancy must be draining you." I said.

"It's awake." She said weakly grabbing her stomach. She doubled over in pain. She clutched her stomach bad. I began basic first aid. Suddenly she grabbed my hand and placed it on her stomach. I was greeted by an unbearable heat.

"Angel I can't take this anymore." She said weakly starting to sob.

"It's going to be ok. I'm here." I said taking her in a hug as I fallowed suite.

"I don't know if I can survive this Angel." She said weakly

"I know you will Aunt Mel. I'll make sure of it." I said.

"It's passing. I just realized something. It's the 1st time you called me Aunt Mel. It's sweet." She said weakly as the pain went away.

"Thanks it'll take some getting use too." I said warmly.

"Hey guys is everything ok? Mel we heard crying." Tom said reentering the room.

"Yeah just catching up." Melanie replied weakly. Suddenly she began to spasm in pain. She wretched and began to vomit large amount of blood. I ran to the trash can and brought it to her. As more waves of blood issued from her mouth she began to shake violently. Then it subsided.

"Aunt Mel you lost a lot of blood. Are you sure you're ok?" I asked wiping the blood off of her lip

"Actually I'd like to rest." She replied weakly.
