The cool washcloth on his face was welcome remedy against the budding headache he'd had all day. Kakashi heaved a deep sigh while his body slowly but surely started to relax in the warm and soothing water that surrounded him in the bathtub. Both his arms were hanging loosely over the sides. The occasional water drop trickled down his finger and onto the floor.

What a nice feeling.

"Ne, Kakashi, are you listening?"

He lifted the cloth just enough to glance down at the young woman sitting between his legs. She had her back towards him, only her head was turned to the side so she could look at him and the expression on her face… Was she sulking?

Pulling the washcloth altogether off his face, Kakashi smiled sheepishly at her. "I'm sorry. What were you talking about?"

"I knew it!" Her temper suddenly flared and those lush green eyes of hers shot sparks. She turned her back on him. "What's the point of being together and not talk about things…," she muttered under her breath.

He could tell by the tension in her back that she was preparing to get out of the tub. That was the last thing he wanted her to do.

He clasped her waist and with no trouble at all he turned her so that she was sitting on his lap, legs around his waist, facing him. Instantly her face turned a deep shade of red.

He moved his hands up to her shoulder blades, skin gently brushing against skin. With one gentle tug he pulled her even closer into his embrace until their faces were only a hair's breadth apart from each other. She could feel his warm breath against her lips. That coupled with the heavy air from the bath was enough to make her feel dizzy. But then…

"I'm listening now."
