Cate & Baze- Crazy Love
Part One
Cate stood in shock trying to take in what her beautiful daughter was telling her, knowing that Lux wouldn't lie and sensing the desperation in her eyes Cate grabbed her car keys and ran out the house. She sure that it wasn't really safe for her to be driving in her current state but had managed to drive safely outside Baze's bar,
"Hey?" She says anxiously as Baze smiles warmly over at her sipping his beer looking just as deep in thought as she was,
"Hey Cate. So what is up?" Cate steps closer to him finally realising what she had felt deep down since he came back into her life,
"Baze I can't do it...I can't marry Ryan" Baze frowns lightly his big brown eyes filling with concern as he lightly touches her arm,
"What has made you say that cate? Has something happened?"
"Yeah. You Baze that's what happened! I have been too afraid of hurting Ryan and myself to even be honest but our daughter made me realise tonight that I can't go on like this..."
"Cate?"
"I love you Baze. I have since the moment you re entered my life...I want us to be a family a real happy normal family!" Baze moves closer his eyes melting into hers making her speechless,
"Cate I love you. I'm in love with you. But I need to know before you do anything drastic that you mean this?" Cate lightly brushes her lips against his before whispering that she was ready making Baze smile pulling hair out of her face and placing them behind her ear before the both kiss passionately.
Cate sat herself down opposite a confused Ryan as she places her hand gently into his,
"Ryan...I need to start being honest...I never wanted this for me to hurt you but..."
"Where is this going? Are you getting cold feet?" Cate shakes her head silent tears falling down her cheeks,
"I can't marry you today. I have been doing some thinking and I realised that I love Baze...I am in love with Baze I'm so sorry" cate delicately places her engagement ring onto the table and waits awkwardly for Ryan to respond,
"I knew it. Deep down I guess I knew cate. I guess this is it then" Ryan stands as cate gently grabs his arm,
"You don't hate me Ryan?" Ryan sighs shaking his head sadly,
"No. At least you can be honest. I will sort out getting my things in a few days"
"Oh right yeah. Listen don't worry bout wedding I'll sort everything out " Ryan leaves the house as Cate pulls out her phone surprised how quick he answers,
"Hey? You alright?"
"Not really broke a great guys heart. Can you come over I need you?"
"On my way" cate smiles to herself as she was now apart of a proper family and found someone that was there for her whenever she needed support and even when she didn't . Baze, Cate and Lux yeah she loved the sound of that! She thinks placing herself onto the couch waiting for Baze.
