Killian with his heart in the hand of a madman had just told the woman he loved that the portal leading to Arendelle was not far from where they were. The Pirate wanted to scream and shout but could not. He felt as though he were trapped in his own body, being manipulated and controlled like some kind of puppet into betraying his Swan and endangering his friends. He attempted to leave but Emma being a persistent woman, grabbed his arm and pulled him back. She brought her hand to his face and caressed his cheek.
"Killian what's wrong? You are acting strange" she spoke quietly and inventively to her pirate as he seemed different. He seemed conflicted. Not the laid back jokey pirate she had grown to love. He was tense and seemed to have a hint of fright behind his eyes.
Killian shuddered internally as her hand rested against his face.
Damn woman! Why does she have to see right through me? He spoke in his head through gritted teeth. She had always been able to see when people weren't being truthful with her but when it was someone you loved, it made all the difference. She had been able to read Killian like a book and she knew that something was wrong.
Killian lost control of his body once more as the words "nothing ... I'm fine" were forced from his mouth. Bloody CROCODILE!
Emma continued to stare him down until Killian placed a chaste kiss on her lips and withdrew quickly. A little too quickly. Killian had never kissed her like that before. He seemed as though he was rushing to get away. What the hell was going on?
Killians temper was past boiling point. This had to stop. He had never stopped fighting for this woman and he was not about to stop now. He needed to find a way to let her know that something was wrong. But how?
Gold continued to speak through the pirates' mouth...
"See you around..." Killian fought against the words being channelled through his mind. He tried to close his throat in an attempt to choke himself into keeping quiet. The sensation quickly became painful as he felt his vocal cords contort. But just as he began to give in a thought crossed his mind. The crocodile was forcing him to say one word but Killian managed to force out another. A word that would ensure it was not him saying this but a man obsessed with power and did not care who he hurt. If this would be the last word he would ever say, he wanted it to matter...
"Dearie"
Emma dropped her teacup and it smashed on the floor as Killian darted from the diner.
