They had been under attack, the 8 digidestined had dashed through the forest, Tai managing to catch his shoulder on a thorn bush. It had sliced some skin off, but now was no time to stop. Kabuterrimon and Birdramon tried to hold up the attacker, who Izzy informed them was called Kilokomon, an evil digimon who used "deadly earthquake" to attack. The two flying creatures attacked as they were out of harms way. Kilokomon was strong and still followed the children. In the end all the digimon had to evolve before they could defeat Kilokomon. All the digimon were exhausted and almost immediately went to sleep. Izzy and Matt set up camp, while Mimi, Joe, Kari and T.K. looked for food. Sora, feeling guilty that she had fallen asleep during her night watch and thus letting Kilokomon catch them offguard, had volunteered to dress Tai's wound. Everyone moved off. Izzy and Matt started to set up a small camp, and tried, without much luck to start a campfire. Mimi, Joe, Kari and T.K. set off into the near by forest gathering berries and other food, and Sora and Tai went into a nearby clearing so that the wound could be bandaged in the light of the full moon. Tai lifted his sleeve to reveal a cut, deep enough to need stitches, but as they were in the digiworld, there were no doctors or hospitals. Sora spread out the first aid equipment on the ground and started to work.
Kari and T.K. had decided to abandon their search for food and instead decided to spy on Tai and Sora. Kari had suspected Tai to have liked Sora for sometime now, and T.K. just came along for the ride. They crept into the bushes near-by and could hear everything being said, or rather they could hear Tai complaining about how sore it was, and Sora apologising!
Sora was trying to be as gentle as possible, but every time Tai complained, she felt guilty again! "This never would have happened if I hadn't have fallen asleep," Sora thought to herself. She reached down for a bandage, with her hair falling around her face. Tai had stopped complaining now, and he had closed both hands over hers. She looked up surprised, and gazing into his eyes, she smiled. He leaned closer ad kissed her softly. She had waited almost forever for this day, and they kissed in the moonlight.
T.K. could not help it; he jumped out from hiding, pulling Kari with him.
"Tai and Sora, sitting in a tree, K, I, double S, I, N, G," he sang loudly, making Tai and Sora jump with surprise. He and Kari giggled and ran back towards the camp.
"I'm…umm…. I'm sorry Sora," Tai murmured as he stood up, unable to look her in they eyes. He then chased after T.K. and his sister and reached them just as they got to camp.
"Guess what everybody," yelled T.K. everybody stopped to listen to what Kari and T.K. had to say. The whole group except Tai and Sora had returned by now.
"Kari and I saw Sora and Tai ki…" Tai clamped his had over T.K's mouth and sweatdrops.
"Ki…Killing time, that all, Sora and I were just killing time," Said Tai, trying to play it off (really badly though I might add).
"Yeah," said T.K. who had now pulled away from Tai, "They were killing time, BY KISSING!!!"
"T.K." Tai screamed in disbelief as well as embarrassment
"Way to go lover boy," said Matt as he punched Tai on his non-injured arm.
"About time," said Izzy; "We were beginning to think that we would have to tie you two together first!"
"That's so romantic," cried Mimi, as Tai went a darker red than before.
