Today is the day. Today is the day I will finally be able to leave prison after being sent here for helping Mr. Godot all those years ago. I know what I did was wrong, but I would do it again if it meant to keep people safe…especially Feenie.
I could feel my face grow hot at the thought of Feenie. During my stay here in prison, he visited me everyday, even during the time he lost his lawyer's badge. I remember trying to console him, but he told me not to worry. I had told him that I would always worry about him.
I also remember meeting his daughter for the first time. At first I was heartbroken at learning that Feenie had a daughter, thinking that he had moved on, but soon learned that he took her in after her real father disappeared. I could not help but love him even more for being so selfless.
Trucy was such a cute little girl who grew up into a beautiful young woman. She's also a very happy person as well, always wanting to cheer people up with her magic. I also remember saying that I must have been her new mommy since she said that Feenie never stopped thinking about me. Both Feenie's face and mine became bright red at Trucy's exclamation.
The years continued to pass by and Feenie kept visiting every day. One day he told me about how he became a lawyer again thanks to a young man by the name of Apollo Justice, who from what Feenie told me, was Trucy's half-brother. If I ever meet Apollo I will have to thank him for helping Feenie clear his name.
Oh! The guard is here to let me out. Opening the cell door, he led me out and towards the exit. Once out of the cell area, a familiar face greeted me. Feenie! He was standing there with a smile on his face, happy to see me not behind glass. I walked shyly over to him, a soft smile and a faint blush on my face. When I was close enough, he quickly wrapped his arms around me brought me into a strong, yet soft hug, making me let out a small "eep" in surprise. My surprise soon left and I snuggled closer into Feenie's chest.
"I don't ever want to lose you again, Iris," he said in soft voice.
Do not worry, Feenie. You won't lose me again. I am free now and I can choose my own path now. I choose to be by your side from now on. That is my choice, that is my path, and that is my freedom.

My first Ace Attorney fic and it's a Feenris fic. There really needs to be more Phoenix x Iris stories, 'cause damn it, they are canon to the series (despite what the Phoenix x Maya fans may think).
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this story from Iris' POV.
