Lollipop

Kio sighed as the door clicked softly shut, blocking Soubi's lean frame from view. But Kio didn't need to see it; it was a sight he'd memorized long ago. He was always looking at Soubi's back, because Soubi was always walking away from him.

Only this time, it was different. Because Soubi wouldn't be coming back. Oh, he'd return, no doubt, but it wouldn't be the same Soubi that had left him here. In fact, the Soubi that had left was already different; he'd begun to change a while ago. And when he came back?

When he came back, the transformation would be complete, Soubi would finally emerge from his cocoon and not a shred of him would return for Kio. Because where ever Soubi had gone, he'd gone there for that damn Aoyagi brat. And when Soubi returned, he'd be returning for the kid too.

Kio furrowed his brows in confusion. Why Ritsuka? He was just a kid, and as such, he couldn't love Soubi like Kio could, like Kio did.

Bending down, Kio picked up the lollipop he'd been enjoying earlier, before Soubi had stolen his attention and the sweet had fallen to the ground. It was broken.

Kio sniffed, fighting back tears. He'd get over it.

After all, it wasn't the first time something of his had broken because of Soubi.
