Ten years went by.
Rin had grown.
She was now a beautiful young woman. She had dropped the ponytail on the one side of her head and allowed it to flow freely. Her beauty surpassed any demoness in Japan.
He thought any way.
But no … She was a human. A mere, weak human no matter how beautiful. She was unable to bear strong healthy pups.
No
Lord Sesshoumaru would not end up like his father. He would not fall for the temptations that Rin caused him.
Look at Inu Yasha.
Week
In the end he begged for Sesshoumaru's help in destroying Naraku.
No
Lord Sesshoumaru would not have his heir as week as his pathetic half-breed brother.
No
"Lord Sesshoumaru, is there something bothering you?"
Rin's soft voice drifted though his distracted mind. He looked down at the girl, her brown eyes shining in the sunlight.
Beautiful
"No," Sesshoumaru said in his usual monotonous tone. "I am fine, Rin."
Rin cocked her head to the side in confusion. There was definitely something bothering him, but she knew better than to ask a second time.
Sesshoumaru looked back out to the horizon. It was sunset. The signature of his lands. There were so many things he loved about the sunset. It reminded him of when he first claimed his father's lands, when he finally destroyed Naraku, and of coarse … Rin.
NO
Sesshoumaru growled low in his throat. So low that only Youkai would be able to hear it. "It's beautiful," Rin spoke again.
Sesshoumaru looked back down at her. She was smiling calmly. She continued. "The sunset, I mean. It's amazing."
Yes, Amazing. Just like … NO
"DAMN IT!!" Sesshoumaru yelled and punched the nearest tree.
The bark crumbled away from beneath his fist. Rin had to cover her mouth with her hand to stop her self from screaming. "M-My L-Lord?" She stuttered.
What is it about that damn onna that makes me feel this way?
"My Lord, what is it?" Rin took a step forward.
Every word she says, every move she makes …
Rin touched Sesshoumaru's shoulder gently. He immediately tensed.
When she touches me I feel different
"My Lord, please tell Rin what's wrong."
NO
"Please,"
NO
Rin looked down. All the years she's been with him he still didn't trust her. Sesshoumaru removed his arm from the tree and looked down at Rin once more.
She can't know
"Rin,"
Rin looked up again. "Yes, My Lord?"
"I want you to leave."
It's for the best
Rin's eyes popped open. "W-what?"
Stand strong
"I want you to leave. You no longer need my protection. Now go."
Don't look at her eyes, you'll loose it
Too late. Sesshoumaru's golden orbs met her brown ones. Tears were forming in her eyes.
Damn it
Sesshoumaru turned away from her and walked back to the castle. "Lord Sesshoumaru," Rin called after him.
Ignore her, keep walking
"Sesshoumaru!!"
Rin ran after him. Sesshoumaru spun around to yell at her but her arms flung around his neck.
No
Sesshoumaru stood a little bit shocked as Rin hugged his neck and cried. "I don't want to leave you, My Lord!" She cried. "Please don't make me leave! I love you!"
What? She … Loves … Me?
Sesshoumaru's arms slithered around her waist and pulled her closer. He buried is face into her hair and inhaled her scent. "Rin," He whispered in her ear. "I can't love you …" Rin sobbed even harder. "But I do, I don't know how, but I love you, Rin."
Rin looked in his eyes, shocked. Sesshoumaru wiped a tear from her cheek. He bent down and brushed his lips against hers.
Yes
