Hug Freely

"Zora you're no longer a Blossom Scout!" Mrs Montecour yelled snatching Zora's precious pink slash.

Dakota smiled evilly and walked back to her table. Sonny felt responsible for making Zora lose all her badges she loved so much. With her heart heaving tons due the guilt she was feeling at the moment, Sonny walked to the littlest girl from So Random!.

"Zora..." she began.

Zora just glared at her before going to look for the nearest vent where she could be upset alone. Sonny watched her friend walk away frowning and already feeling tears stung her eyes.
Her sadness wasn't unnoticed by a certain blond heartthrob. Chad grabbed a box of cookies and walked to Sonny. Feeling a conforming hand on the her shoulder Sonny turned to see non other than Chad Dylan Cooper.

"You ok?" he asked receiving a shook of a head "Looks like you could use a hug." Chad added matter-of-factly.

Sonny nodded dazzled with Chad's sympathy and opened her arms to hug him. Chad instead of hugging her just showed her the box of cookies and looked fake serious at her.

"Buy a box of cookies and I'll give you one." He added pouting mockingly.

Sonny dropped her arms as she watched Chad walk back to his sealing stand. She pouted and walked back to her table to grab the boxes of cookies that now neither her or Zora could sell. Sighing she started setting the boxes on Zora's garden trolley.
Chad chuckled lightly, amused by the fact Sonny could be tricked so easily. Her frown didn't leave his mind though... His palms started sweating, and his heart started beating faster and he experienced a new feeling: caring. Caring for someone besides himself and he was more surprised to find out that the person he was caring for was Sonny Monroe, a Random.

Chad glanced over at her once again and bit his bottom lip trying to control that new unknown feeling. Sonny finished packing all her stuff and sighed defeated making Chad give in. He just couldn't stand see her not happy, it wasn't her. Without her smile she wasn't sunny.

"Screw the cookies." he muttered walking to her.

Sonny started pulling the trolley back to the study defeated.

"Hey Monroe!" Chad called making her turn.

"What do you want?" she replied cooly "Didn't you mock me enough already?"

He didn't reply. Chad just placed his arms around her pulling the brunette into a warm comforting embrace. Sonny blinked surprised and returned the gesture cuddling against his chest for as long as she could not wanting to let go. After a few moments Chad let go.

"Thanks." Sonny said smiling up to him "I was really needing that hug."

Chad shrugged and smiled back.

"Anytime Monroe." he told her walking back to his stand.

Sonny chuckled and turned to the studios only to hear her name again.

"What now Chad?"

"You still owe me a box of cookies." He replied laughing and winked.
