Prologue:

All magical stories once started with a once upon a time and this is how this story will start.

Once upon a time the Gryffwood Royal Estate was what you would call a paradise. Once upon a time laughter echoed amongst its walls. Once upon a time it was a place where all dreams came and can come true. Once upon a time its roofs sheltered a small, yet happy family. Once upon a time there lived a wife who loved his husband and daughter dearly, a husband who treasured his family more than anything, who just wanted a happy life with his 'little princess', and the daughter herself. She was just a baby then, but she was the pride and joy of the little family. She was their 'little princess' and both of her parents swore that they would do anything for her. Once upon a time everything was perfect and they all lived a life drawn out of a child's picture book, a fantasy, one that ends with a 'Happily ever after'.

But this family never did receive their 'Happily ever after'. Reality caught up to them and their 'Once upon a time' didn't end with a 'Happily ever after'.

These days the laughter has gone silent. These days the dreams and hopes had faded away and the happy little family was happy no more.

The neighbours all wondered what happened to the wonderful family that lived within the protective walls of the Estate. They had all wondered when did the laughter stop, and when the family stopped being happy altogether. According to rumours and the gossips, the once loving wife and caring mother had gone mad due to an unknown cause. The optimistic husband and doting father was in prison for, yet again, an unknown cause and crime. And the daughter, their sweet little princess was now grown up. Only eleven years had passed since the laughter stopped altogether and the daughter had grown so much. People say she forced herself to grow up, as life constantly bombarded her with problems at such a young age, and her innocence forcefully snatched away from her. She was no longer the small bundle of joy. These days she was forlorn and melancholic, constantly grieving for the life she could have had if the fates hadn't been so harsh.
