GUILT…..
Those 5 terrifying words meant terror to them.
At least to everyone.
Except Delphi…
GUILT was their gift, their treasure, their most precious thing of all. Adam was like Santa Claus, making gifts and giving it to his elves to give it to the world. Only the gift was GUILT.
Only it was deadly.
What Derek couldn't understand was that why Adam would create such a deadly disease. Was he mad, or was he just plain insane? He had taken lives of many people, almost a million.
Riiinggg!!! Riinnggg! His cell phone rang. Derek opened it. "Derek, get your ass in the office!!" It was Victor. "Why?" said Derek, trying to sound casual though he was truly frightened. Once, Derek had fought with an angry Victor and he ended up with a broken arm, nose, and 2 black eyes. "Don't ask why, just get in there!!!" he replied. Then there was a click. Victor had hung up. "Damn that Victor, telling me what to do…" Derek muttered. "Hey Derek, my man what's up?" Derek turned around. It was Tyler Chase, his goofy fun friend. "Victor called me up to his office."
"Man, I feel sorry for you."
"Yeah, I know…"
"Well, good luck. You need it."
"Thanks…."
Tyler left Derek sobbing in misery. Why Victor couldn't choose Tyler instead? He glared at him, who was happily skipping down the hallway and humming. Then his cell phone rang. Riiinng! Riiinng! Derek braced himself for what might be next. He opened it. This time, his greeting was in text message. It was all misspelled due to his anger and it was all capitalized. This is what it said: DEREKK GETT YOURSSD ASZZ DOWNAA HEREE ORES ELZE YOURESSF NEVERSI SEESO TOMMORROWW LIGHTZZ AFGINA!!!
Derek winced at it. He hadn't expected to be this harsh. Now he really needed to hurry. Derek ran down the hallway and opened the office door. He saw Victor with his cell phone. "Finally" he growled. He thrust an ancient looking book to him. "What's this?" Derek said. "Open and find out." Victor replied. Derek opened it. He gasped. In it were 2 words that could represent the future of people, medicine, and most importantly, GUILT. It said: Adam's Diary.
