Author's Note: Inspiration needs to stop hitting me so hard. I swear this one left a mark. I don't know what possesed me to write this, but tragedies are such fun to write

Nobodies aren't supposed to have hearts or feelings. Both Axel and Roxas knew this, but they didn't want to believe it.
"Hey Roxas, I've got to go. Xemnas has this stupid job that he wants me to do."
"Aww!" Roxas pouted. Axel couldn't resist that cute face. He pulled Roxas closer and kissed him lightly.
"Tell you what," he said. "I'll be coming back on the 9:00 train. Why don't you meet me at the station? Then we could go back to my place…" He trailed off and gave Roxas an evil grin. Roxas grinned back.
"Okay! I'll see you then!"
Roxas waited for the train to arrive. He felt so happy and giggly. He figured it was because he was so in love with Axel, even though Nobodies aren't supposed to have hearts or feelings. He started dancing around in circles. He just couldn't sit still. It was dark and he couldn't see where he was going, and of course, he ended up tripping and falling flat on his face. "That's weird," he thought. "That felt like quite a long fall." He began to get up and he heard a loud rumbling noise. The last thing he saw was a bright flash of light.
Axel was wondering what was going on. He felt the train hit and continue to run over something. When the train finally came to a stop, everyone was held on for quite a while before they were able to get off. Axel saw the blue and red flashing of police car lights and the bright yellow police line stretched around the area behind the train. He tried to run over to see what happened but a police officer stopped him.
"I'm sorry, but you can't go over there. There's been an accident."
"What happened?"
"A boy was run over by the train." Tears welled up in Axel's eyes.
"You wouldn't happen to know who it was, would you?" he asked. The officer checked through some papers that he was carrying on a clipboard.
"A boy named… Roxas."
Tears fled full-force down Axel's face. He fell to his knees, gripping his hair.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" he cried. Two other officers came over to see what was going on and attempted to help Axel.
"You knew him?" one officer asked.
"Y-yes…H-he was…I was…We were…" he took a deep shaky breath. "We were…very close…" The three men looked at him wide-eyed and then took him over to see Roxas, or rather, what was left of him.
Roxas' body was pretty much smeared across the tracks. Blood, guts, random body parts, they were everywhere, but something caught Axel's eye. A part of Roxas' was left undamaged (apart from the fact that it was separated from the rest of the body).
Axel ran over and picked it up. More and more tears rolled down his cheeks. "How is this possible?" he thought to him self, holding it close, for the part of Roxas that was left behind was:
His heart.
