Its been a week since the whole bismuth thing went down. The crystal gems, mainly pearl and garnet, seemed to be really upset about it. But garnet still seemed to be acting quite odd. sad.
They both admitted it was for the best that they kept her in a bubble and they continued with their lives normally.
It was a peaceful night in beach city. Everyone was asleep, cosy in their beds, dreaming sweet dreams. Except for one specific gem.
The temple was quiet during the night. While Steven was asleep the others would go off doing their own thing.
Pearl would usually re-organise her things, sometimes amethysts stuff to if she felt like it. Amethyst would usually try to return her room to its natural state. A mess, occasionally adding a few new things that she found to the pile.
Garnet would usually go to her room to be alone. No one knows what she does when she's in there, they assume it has something to do with the missions they go on.
--In Garnet's Room-
Garnet walked through the temples doorway and stepped into her room. She let out a deep breath before she held up her hands and started to glow. Two forms emerged from the light holding hands. Ruby and sapphire. They smiled at each other before walking to a small bed in the corner of the room (dont worry, its nothing inappropriate).
They both laid down, sapphire rested her head on her lovers chest. Ruby wrapped her arm around sapphires waist and placed her chin on top of her girlfriends head as she placed her other arm under her own head. They both started to relax and let all the stress of their missions just melt away.
Even though gems dont need sleep, they still enjoy it. Its a great way to pass the time and to relax. No one knew that garnet unfused at night. It was not because ruby and sapphire are angry with each other or anything, its just that they love to spend some quality time with each other. Apart but still together.
So there they laid, calmly asleep for a while before the sound of a battle cry woke ruby up. She opened her eyes wondering where the sound came from. Ruby looked over at sapphire. Her gem was projecting the dream she was having. That explains the noises…..
Ruby leaned in to focus on the images that were being projected.
Bismuth. There she was. Ruby knew that sapphire was close to her, they both were, but she had no idea that sapphire was still upset about.
Of course she was! Ruby thought to herself. She's been acting weird this entire week! It even affected our fusion! Both Garnet and sapphire have been quieter than usual.
Ruby mentally face-palmed herself at how delusional she was (and still kinda is).
Another angry battle cry broke ruby out of her thoughts. She brought her attention back to her girlfriends dream. Sapphire had a pained look on her face as she kept dreaming.
I should wake her up….. Ruby thought to herself, but was cut of by the sound of her own voice.
