This will be their last meeting. That's a silent agreement between the both of them.
Phoenix knows the woman on the other side of this glass can't be his Dollie. There's no way. Dollie was...warm, sweet, someone who laughed and smiled whenever he did. This woman was...cold. Untouchable. Unfeeling. It was if they had never met at all, never had any sort of relationship. He doesn't understand, he can't possibly understand, how this woman was the Dahlia Hawthorne he loved and lost.
Nothing is said. All that can be heard is the hopeless blubbering of Phoenix Wright, a man who cannot understand anything anymore.
She looks almost...bored. She doesn't even bother to look at him, or respond. It was as if she'd never cared. He'd already shoved the sweater she'd lovingly made for him into a box- just looking at it made his blood run cold. It was if she was pure ice, making him freeze over.
And suddenly, still sobbing uncontrollably, Phoenix Wright breaks the silence.
"D-D-Dollie...please."
"What?"
(She still speaks in that dainty, quiet, soft tone, but there is no emotion in it now. It makes him shudder, as if the cold edge of a knife was brushing against his skin, about to plunge right into him at any moment.)
"I want you to kiss me. T-Through the glass. Just one more time, Dollie. Please."
She responds in silence. For a second, he almost thinks he sees her...smirk. She closes her eyes, puts one dainty, spindly hand against the glass, and begins to move in. He begins to do likewise.
He expects to feel some pressure against the glass, or at least see it mist up due to their breath. His eyes are closed, but he starts to feel icy inside.
Her voice is a hush, a deadly, cold blooded whisper, one that will plunge the frosty knife right into his heart.
"Oh, Feenie..."
He opens his eyes- and realises that this woman, someone who he once cherished above all else, was the one thing he feared the most.
"If only there were someone out there who loved you."
(When those words fall from her lips, Phoenix Wright feels his entire body go numb and cold.)
