Ruby's P.O.V.
'I wonder who I'm escorting this time...',I thought while walking to a meeting. Yesterday, Yellow Diamond told me to warp to Blue Diamond's Palace to receive new information about my next escort. I obeyed and used the warp pad to go to Blue Diamond's Palace. "BEEM!" the warp pad went as I arrive. I was warped on the side of the entrance to Blue Diamonds Palace. I pushed open the blue glass door and walked through. It seems I wasn't the only one. Two other rubies were there already. "Hey, guys! Were you called here to?" "Yeah",they both replied in unison. The rest of the time
we sat on the blue couch waiting for something to happen. About a few minutes later, Blue Diamond's Pearl came out and said, "Blue Diamond is ready for you rubies." We all nodded and went in.
Once we entered we went on one knee, with our remaining hand over our knees. Blue Diamond then said, "Rubies, I have an important job for you all. I need you to escort one of my court members safely to my sky colony. Her name is Sapphire. I thought, 'What a pretty name the girl has... Wait! What am I thinking? This is my job, and I'm already crushing on Sapphire?!" I started to blush slightly and Blue Diamond noticed. "Ruby,Are you okay? Do you need to be excused for a moment." "Wha- No! Blue Diamond. Uhh... Please continue." "Blue Diamond went on more about the information but never described what the girl looked like.
(Back to the Present)
I continued into the meeting room. I didn't pay attention though because I couldn't stop thinking about who I was escorting. Especially how she looked like. Half an hour later, the meeting ended and everyone went their own ways. Today was the day to get ready and meet Sapphire. I reported to the warp station and took the address to Crystal Cavern. I got off the warp and the other Rubies arrived to. We then waited in the lobby at Sparkle Hotel. The Hotel
was really fancy. The walls were etched with illustrations of the Diamonds themselves, as always to expect since the Diamonds ruled the place. I noticed I started to feel a weird heavy feeling on my eyelids. They started to close on their own. I tried to keep them open but, it got the better of me and I fell into some sort of Trance. I guess Sapphire came down because she said,"Ruby? Ruuuby." 'Wow. Her voice is really nice. Wait! Stop thinking like this!' I finally wake up
and see Sapphire for the first time. She was beautiful! Her pale blue hair fell over her back and shined in the lobby light. Her blue dress flowing, with ease without a care in the world. Sapphire then snapped me out my daydreaming and said
, "Rubies I'd like to tell you all something." We all straightened ourselves out and got ready to listen. "I got a vision of something and it is the reason why your escorting me. What happens in the vision is this: The rebels arrive short after I talk to Blue Diamond. After the talk, they will appear ready to fight. They will knock out two Jaspers, Two of you Rubies and myself." I stared at her for a minute and noticed something. When Sapphire explained how the rebels wee going to fight, I didn't see the slightest bit of worry. I didn't hear a tone of sadness, or even see tears of fear. All I saw was acceptance. After the meeting I remember when Blue Diamond instructed us to stay at Sapphire's room and figure out how to watch the door and make sure not to let anyone in. I was snapped out of my thought's when Sapphire called calmly, "Rubies shall we go to my room?" "Yes, of course lead the way Sapphire.",I replied.
