The worst thing he'd ever feared came true, no not a land jellyfish, but the one girl he'd ever truly loved left him at the altar. He and Clay were at the altar, waiting for the whole fiasco to start. When her father came rushing out the room, saying Kimiko was nowhere to be found. Toshiro had looked throughout the whole temple before rushing out and telling the boys. There was no sign of her when he and the others went to look in her room, except for the Golden Tiger Claws on the floor and a couple of sheets of paper. One was addressed to him and the other to her father. His note stated that she left because she couldn't simply stay there and ruin his life; he deserved to live his life the way he wanted to but did not say where she had run off to. The note for her father said the same thing and to not blame Raimundo for anything, it was her choice. Then her frantic father started screaming out nonsense, that he drove Kimiko to run away. That wasn't true; he'd do anything to see the girl smile and couldn't understand why she would leave and pregnant with his child, nonetheless. He searched for days. The days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, not giving up one ounce of hope he had of finding her. The others had told him to simply give up, she wasn't worth his time if she just left him without saying another word, but he simply refused. He constantly argued with the others that she was worth it. Even her father gave up his search for her and he personally told the dragon of the wind that his daughter must've not actually loved him. Those words enraged the young boy. The reason they were in this mess was because they loved each other. His parents had told him that his search for the girl was pointless and that he should focus more on himself. They were constantly reminding him that a better life was waiting for him, if and only if he gave up. He had to take a break from his frantic searches and collect his thoughts. His mind often wandered to her and how his love was doing, as well as his child, who he feared he would never meet. That thought was maddening enough. He kept thinking about her and remembering all they had gone through up until the wedding. He remembered touching her long raven hair, looking into her sapphire eyes, kissing her soft lips and touching her stomach when she told him she was pregnant. He became accustomed to touching and rubbing her swollen belly every day. He remembered being terrified of telling their master and then their parents but she calmed him down with her soothing words, like she always did when he was upset. He was excited and terrified just thinking about being a father and taking care of a baby. Sure hes taken care of his younger siblings, even nieces and nephews but his own child. His child, he liked the sound of that, he wanted nothing more than to be married to Kimiko and for her to be the mother of his children. Of course that dream wouldn't have happened for many, many years to come but their decision that night was like a true blessing in disguise. He would never admit it to anyone but he was happy Kim was going to have his baby. He honestly did believe that any other thing he did with his life wouldn't be much of a life to live. He had to find them, even if it was the last thing he did. A light breeze blew through the trees, causing him to stop his thoughts. A familiar smell was in the air; it was calling for him to follow it, the faint smell of honey and cherry blossom. He made a last minute decision to follow it, continue his search for her elsewhere, and follow the familiar sent to his two loved ones. The scent led him to America, it was telling him to go there, for some reason or another he had to be with them again.
