AN: A little throwaway oneshot I wrote real quickly after watching Episode 11.

P.S. I'm working on an extra-long 'Ghost of Valentine' Special for the Ghost of Vale, so expect that in a couple of days ;) -CakeLegends

Lean on Me - Oneshot

Lean on me when you're not strong

And I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on

For it won't be long

Until I'll need somebody to lean on...

Yang's eyes parted open as she slowly regained consciousness. Her eyes drifted away from the starry night sky. Small details began to clear as she surveyed her surroundings: It was night. Raging fire and sounds of chaos echoed from the distance. Pain radiated from somewhere on her body. Through her fogged mind, it was unclear where it was coming from.

Someone was carrying her.

Yang's head turned. Her eyes met Blake's. Recent memories began to bubble to the surface. Every agonizing detail replayed in her mind.

She remembered how her red eyes burned. How her fists clenched, trembling with unbridled rage. The blade slashed across the air in an arch of crimson. Her eyes widening as the sharp blade cut through her bones like butter.

Yang sighed shakily. Her mind was now awake. She could feel the full extent of the damage. Pain began to radiate from the open wound.

It was her arm.

She felt the blood oozing from the wound with every heartbeat. She felt the ache of her severed bones. It was unbearable.

Yang closed her eyes, holding back her building tears. This wasn't like the fairy tales she read growing up. Being a Huntress wasn't the thrill she dreamt it would be. This was scary. This was painful.

This was awful.

Her eyes opened again as she felt the Faunus sit her down. They were on a park bench. She felt cloth tightening around her bicep. Through the waves of pain, Yang glanced to her side.

Blake's terrified eyes glowed yellow in the moonlight.

"This isn't real..." Blake mumbled, wrapping the bandages of Gambol Shroud around the bleeding stump. Tears threatened to fall from her eyes. Her vision began to blur. She wiped them away roughly, returning to the bandages. "This isn't happening…"

Yang looked away as Blake wrapped the stump of an appendage. The sight of the wound was sickening. From this moment on, she knew her life would never be the same. She slowly mustered the courage to look again.

The Blonde's eyes widened. Blake's hands were trembling.

Yang's back straightened. One of them needed to be strong. She could cry in private. Right now, Blake needed support.

"Are you alright?" Yang managed. "Did he hurt you?"

"Yang..." Blake mumbled, wiping away her tears once again. "Your arm..."

Yang felt her nerves falter. She smiled, fighting back her tears. She needed to be strong.

"I made a decision." The cripple acknowledged, taking hold of her aching wound. "I'd say it was worth it."

Blake's head hung low in guilt. Her vision blurred. Tears fell from her eyes, landing on the ground below. This was her fault.

"C'mon, Tiger." Yang slugged the Faunus on the arm playfully. "We've gotta get up at some point."

Blake nodded, rising to her feet. She held out her hand.

"You've got to hand it to me." Yang stated, grunting slightly as she rose from her seat. "I really push myself past my limb-its."

Blake sniffled at the morbid humor. "It's a long walk back. It'll be dangerous."

"Well then..." Yang began, raising her stump arm in front of her mouth. "Good thing I'm armed to the teeth."

Yang stepped forward, stumbling over her weak feet. Blake caught her, pulling Yang's arm over her shoulders for support.

In the pale moonlight, the two girls began their walk, one leaning against the other.
