IMPORTANT INFO about Story's Major Changes:

This is the new version of Sailor Suns! Sorry for the VERY long hiatus. But at first, I just stopped because of writer's block, but then…..when I came back to finish the next chapter, I realized that this story had almost no plot and the writing was REALLY bad. So….I decided to wait even longer to improve my writing skills and find a new inspiration.

So basically, I did! This story has a fresher look to it now. Seth Gold is now renamed to Seth Kim (his real name is Kim Si-Hoo. But his nickname in America was Seth. He wanted it to be simple and easy for Americans to pronounce and it stuck ever since). He is no longer adopted and instead, he has an interesting past. His birth mother in this world is an Japanese-American woman who married a Korean man.

They met when Seth's birth mother took a tour of Asia for work. And in Korea, she met her husband who was studying to become a businessman. They are no longer married due to divorce and Seth's father remarried to a new woman. And because the new wife's work and widowed father was in Japan, the whole family moved back to Japan. The new wife was in Japan because of this:

The new wife's father moved to Japan to have a reminder of his dead wife so the woman followed to take care of her father, there she met Seth's father who was with his family at the time for a vacation. Her heritage is a mixture of Korean, Chinese, and American. (She is from the U.S. too but studied and lived abroad to become a teacher in different countries because not all Americans stays in the U.S. for college. Ex: My friends are right now studying abroad and my old English teacher moved to England for more education and to be with her husband! See! Let's not be stereotypical.)

So yeah, his dad is Korean which gives Seth his mixed features that contrasts with the Japanese and English features. His birth mother is half Japanese and half white so all those cultures gives Seth his darkish brown/black hair and gold-hazel eyes … Also, Seth speaks to Serena in Japanese so Seth needs some type of grasp to his heritage due to living with his mother for so long. The only reason why I made Seth a more Korean styled look is because it's symbolic...yeah...I'm weird. That and he takes after his father. Don't judge! Ex: My cousins take after their father more than my side of the family so...Go genetics!

Seth was suppose to keep his blonde hair but I thought since in the original story I put him as part Lunar blood (Moon Kingdom), I might as well put some of the heritage in to reference to it..that and I need different hair to go with my new story. Also, the backstory is different now but I will add some references to the original tale.

Also, I will be changing the costumes of Seth and Serena's sailor suns outfits. I decided I wanted something a bit more…cooler.

Seth's overall look also has involved a bit too. He looks more like Lee Sung-Yeol, Nam Woo-Hyun, CNBLUE's Lee Jong-Hyun, Infinite's L, and Robbie Kay based. So if you have trouble picturing him for some apparent reason, that's what he looks like now. He acts like the characters they played for certain dramas too. So look out for that.

An important note...expect flashbacks because we will be getting those. By the way, some parts of this story were based off of the soundtrack of that very weird (I regret watching the anime) show, School Days...and the K-Pop group, Infinite. (I was listening to those two things as I was typing.) So without further or do, let's start the show!

Come back, I want you back back back back back
Back back back back back
I'll wait for you, as I remain here, turned around
I say save me

(Save)
Can you save me

I think of each memory that I should forget
Season after season
I want you back in my arms

Please don't lose me
Like the spring wind that passed over me
Can you save, can you save me

-Back by Infinite (It's not in the original lyrics because I always have problems finding the correct parts I want. )

Chapter 1- Broken Hearts

Serena felt a pain that stabbed that her like a thousand knives. Every time she felt like breathing and living again, that black knife just kept on twisting what was left in her heart. Twisting and turning….twisting and turning….all because of…Dar-…Dar-…

Sigh. Darien.

Darien…..sigh….Darien.

Serena flinched at the name. Her first and only love broke her heart…was she pathetic? Yes. Was she shattered into a million pieces? Yes. Was she okay? No.

And no one could fill in that void in her shattered heart. No one to pick up the pieces and glue them back together.

Rei and the other girls tried to cheer up and fix her, but it was no use, she was in a depression because of that man she called her true love.

"It will be okay, Serena," Ami had told her once.

"Yeah, Serena," Lita responded to her that day. "I bet you will forget that guy! I got over my last boyfriend, so can you!" Serena wanted to roll her eyes from that boyfriend comment but she couldn't. Her mind was blank and her heart was shattered. All she did was cry…cry…and…cry.

"You will get over this Serena," the girls repeated to her. "We will help you move on…..trust us…." She remembered them hugging her tightly, as if she was a porcelain doll and they had to keep the glue together…could she move on?

Serena sighed. No….

She couldn't get over this. Darien and her had history. They were Prince Endymion and Princess Serenity. Star-crossed lovers…were….

Serena hated that word.

'Were.'

She hated that it was a past tense. It practically summed up her entire past life. She was a princess and she died…..end of story. No questions asked. She lived…and she died.

Like she was doing right now. She was blessed with Darien and now…she died because of him leaving her. Like in her past life…. (AN: I am talking about Darien's death. By the way, I am using a mix of the English Dub anime (mostly because most of what I could find on Youtube was that.), English sub anime, and the manga)

And the worst part was that Darien's break up with her affected her fighting. She was practically the worst representative of the Moon Kingdom ever. She tried to fight but….every time she fell down, she remembered Tuxedo Mask…Oh god….who would help her friends fight the youmas now?

Serena tightened her fist. She was worthless. Look at her. Pitying herself and crying over a guy.

She was better than this! She was Princess Serenity, princess of the moon kingdom! She was Sailor Moon, protector of the innocent and vanquisher of all evil! She was…Serena….clumsy idiot for life…meatball head….

Serena sniffed. Meatball head…

She even missed that nickname….

Maybe she could hear that voice one more time….no….she couldn't.

Darien was on a plane to England right now….She remembered that day…That day when she ran into him….All he could ever ask was…Rini….

Flashback:

Serena was walking slowly down the city sidewalk with Luna on a cold Monday morning hurrying up to school. She was still so sad and heartbroken about Darien. It was just a week ago….and every time she thought about him, her chest seemed to stop beating and the air in her lungs would vanish, resulting into a panic attack. Everybody she knew felt sorry for her, they most of all worried about her mental and physical health. It was plummeting by the hour….Her mom was so worried and her father was so angry at Darien.

BAMM! She almost fell; she looked up and saw Darien. He was more handsome than the last time she saw him…

"Serena…. How's Rini? She has not visited for a while..." Darien said, keeping a cool and collected face.

Serena was so close to tears. Instead of "Hey, I am so sorry we broke up..." or "Meatball head, how's it going", it was just about Rini and if she was going to visit him soon. It was always about Rini and if she is okay or not, sometimes Serena felt as if she was nothing to everyone. No one cared and Serena felt sometimes….invisible…No...she had to stop those kinds of thoughts! It wasn't Rini's fault! Sure the kid was a brat, but the girl was still growing. RIni needed the attention. She was a young girl growing up. Serena, however, was a grown girl. She had to be mature….ha….like she was mature.

" S-She's…. great….. just…. g-great….She got a perfect score on her report on monkeys. She claims it's dedicated to me." Serena said slowly, trying to not cry.

It was kind awkward for the two people. They had just broke up and were both broken hearted. Not that Serena knew….

Serena right there wanted to tell Darien she loved him and she couldn't live without him, but what stopped her was that the pain of him telling her he still didn't love her. Wait…Serena was not going to let that stopped her. She had to keep trying. She had to keep her sanity and her heart in place.

"Darien, I-," She started until he interrupted her.

"I'm leaving for vacation," he said. Serena was shocked of what he just said to her.

"What?" She said.

"I am leaving today, Serena"

"When are you coming back?"

"Probably in a month or two."

"Have fun then."

Serena then walked away from Darien. She just couldn't stand that fact that he did not care about her and her broken heart. While he was partying till no end and flirted with girls, she would be using thousands of tissues. She should right there slap him….

No…she still loved him too much to do that….she had to stay strong…..she had to stay strong….no tears….And so, she walked away with the same feelings as Darien without even knowing it. A broken heart that couldn't be fixed. And when you tried to stay strong and pull up a mask, it was tearing you apart. Darien watched as Serena walked with Luna to school.

"Serena, I am so sorry…" Darien said with pain as he watched Serena clumsily left him alone.

Serena continued to walk away as she never got to hear his last words…..she just continued to walk on, she had to keep herself in check. It didn't matter if she wanted to break down in tears; she had to march out strong. He would have wanted her to do that. If he even cared…

End of Flashback

Serena sighed. After that day, she felt that void in her heart. The tears had eventually passed but that harsh knife was still there. It just kept twisting and turning. And when she thought she could get angry about his betrayal and sudden vacation and move on, she just couldn't. She felt still tied to him. Still tied to Darien.

BAM!

Serena fell down due to the impact.

"Umph! I'm sorry," a boy said. Serena opened her eyes and blinked.

Standing there, was the most beautiful boy she had ever seen. The boy had beautiful black hair with hints of dark brown strands, mesmerizing topaz eyes, and….skin that made Serena want to die in envy. This boy was basically a human version of the perfect combination of East and West. He had the some of the stereotypical American looks but the build and features of what flower boys wanted. Lean but slightly built to a perfect health condition.

This boy had the common eye shape of what everyone else usually inherited but the gold eye color made everyone stopped and stared. His black/brown hair was styled slightly over his eyebrows and gave a boyish look to him. But don't get Serena wrong, the boy was not 'godly' in the perfect category. But in her eyes, he was. He had enough looks to surpass Darien and most of the boys' population in the school. But then again…it wasn't that hard to surpass all the boys in the school. It was though hard to surpass Darien…..

She was having the weirdest couple of weeks by far. First, the dreams, then bipolar like mood swings, and now over describing a cute boy? Weird week.

Oh yeah…why did she over described the boy? She made him sound like the perfect human…well…he was in her eyes. Darien was no longer in that category for Serena.

"I am so clumsy!" the boy sighed to himself. Serena just tilted her head and stared.

Was he a new student? He though was a bit rude. He didn't even apologize.

There was an awkward silence.

"Oh...!" the boy remembered, he offered his hand to Serena. Serena looked at the offered hand and the handsome boy.

The boy silently looked at the blonde and offered his hand a little closer.

Serena hesitated and took it. The boy immediately pulled Serena's hand to lift her up.

Serena swayed as she fought with her feet to keep balance.

"The name's Seth," the boy nodded, his strange accent hypnotizing Serena. "Seth Kim. But in this country, it's suppose to be Kim Seth... Your's?"

"The name is Serena," Serena whispered, her voice still raw from the panic attacks and the past few days of crying.

And within a few seconds, Serena walked around the boy, found her assigned seat, and sat down.

Seth tilted his head and observed the blonde girl. Hm….

START OF CLASS:

Miss. Haruna gestured to the boy next to her.

"This is Kim Seth," Miss. Haruna introduced. He is from America and will be joining our class today. Say hello."

"Hello," the class responded. The boys gave a rough greeting while most of the girls sighed, already falling for the new student….well…accept for Ami and Serena.

"Hi," Seth gave a two fingered salute. He had no care for the new foreign land….well… he did but he already took a tour of the city. And besides, he had other problems than a new foreign land. His living situation and parents were a big issue right now. And if he did care about something right now, it was a certain blonde that was staring off into space was the only thing that he cared for.

Serena sighed as her mind drifted off. Was Darien safe? She hoped so…..Why was she still concerned? He broke her heart…but he probably did with a good purpose…..but….

"Since you may have a bit of a rough time with our language," Miss. Haruna said, looking at her seating chart. "I will sit you with Ami. She is our best student and you may feel more comfortable with someone who speaks a bit of English. She will also be your guide and tutor around the school so that she can help you catch up with the school and feel comfortable ."

Ami smiled and waved to signal the boy to her seat.

"I don't have a problem with the language," Seth said smoothly, bored already. He knew this was going to happen. "Can I pick my seat? Since, we hardly have desks available for moving the entire class around." Miss. Haruna paused her scribbling and nodded.

"Very well," she said. "Pick a seat." Immediately, all the girls but Serena raised their hands in eagerness.

Seth pretended to look troubled. He needed some humor in his life. Besides, it was troubling to pick. So many nosy and desperate girls...

"Hm…" Seth said. "I choose…nah….hm…I chose you." He pointed to the empty pair of desks behind Serena. Serena looked up and stared

Her? Seriously?

She didn't have time to deal with another boy.

"Are you sure, Seth?" Miss. Haruna asked. "Serena is not the best student." Seth nodded.

"I am sure," Seth confirmed. "The seat is in the corner...away from the drama."

Miss. Haruna sighed.

"Very well," the teacher said. "Serena, meet you new classmate. Please show him around the school and help him."

Serena stared as the boy walked through the isles to sit down on the seat behind her.

"Okay."

Serena stared into her desk. Why her?

Seth plopped his brown leather backpack underneath his desk and leaned on the left desk besides him. He placed his headphones on his ears and quietly read the book in front of him. He hoped the girl was not a whiny dramatic brat.

And for the rest of class, a miracle happened. Serena had actually paid attention in class instead of falling under a depression or in a coma like sleep.

Seth had, at first, paid no attention to Serena until he noticed Serena's study habits. No way was he letting a girl who slept all day tutor him. So, in every few seconds, he would poke her back and ask her questions about the lesson. He, of course, knew what Miss. Haruna was talking about but he was making sure Serena knew the content. The test was on Friday and he needed someone to tutor him the content that he missed.

Serena though felt annoyed and ignored the boy. At first, she answered a few of the questions but after the fifth question, she started to ignore him and fall asleep...until he took her lunch as a punishment for getting one of Miss. Haruna's questions wrong. Dang it...she was hungry. How was she suppose to know the correct formula? She could...she could get her lunch back!

Take that...

He took her lunch again...she better get it back. And it happened that way for a few times...

Soon, Serena had declared war when he took her lunch the third time in a row.

However, Seth fought back when Serena took away his lunch while Miss. Haruna was asking him a question. He got the question right and she still took his lunch.

And when Serena felt like sleeping her sorrows away after getting tired of fighting back, Seth had scooted his desk close to hers' and whispered words that annoyed her to no end.

"Baka! Baka!" Seth whispered in a chicken call. "Idiot! Scatterbrain! Hey, Serena! Baka! Baka! Baka!"(AN: Think of Usui from Kaichou Wa Maid Sama in episode 14 when he tries to keep Misaki awake by annoying her. You probably won't find the full episode buts its in parts. Like look up 'Episode 14 Part 2.')

Serena let go of her covered ears and whispered back.

"Stop it! I get it!" Serena whispered back. "Now let me sleep!"

"Nope," Seth frowned, shaking his head. "Baka! Baka! Baka! Baka!"

Serena, in her frustration, slammed her hand on her forehead and growled.

"Fine," Serena admitted defeat. "I get it! I will listen to the teacher!" Seth smirked and patted himself on the back. Serves her right. No one takes his lunch.

Ami and Lita giggled behind their books. How cute.

Serena sighed as she fingered the wet green grass.

Darien...

Her heart was in war.

One side of her heart was throbbing with pain that could kill her a thousand times over but another...but another side of her wanted to stab him for hurting her. One moment she was gasping for air because of the amount of crying she did and in the next moment, she was so close to shunning that man forever...

How can she stop this war?! Can she handle the pain enough to keep fighting for him or should she move on like a smart person would do?

"It's healthy to let your feelings out," a voice said from behind her. Serena frowned and tilted her head up. What?

Up in the trees was...Seth.

Seth was casually sitting on a high branch with his right arm resting on his right knee, his head tilted back, and his headphones placed on his ears.

"Crying may be healthy, but I learned that if you let your feelings off, it's so much better," Seth said. Seth removed his headphones and place them down so they can dangle on his neck.

He hopped off the branch.

Seth's feet landed on the ground and Seth simply looked at Serena with a look.

The look that shook Serena to her core. It was a intense look that could melt a girl's heart. But it was not the normal type of smoldering look, it was a look that showed his boredom and slight sorrow.

Serena swallowed.

"And what would you know of crying and feelings," Serena retaliated. "I have my reasons why I am crying! You wouldn't know the pain I am feeling right now. Crying is so much better than ranting."

"Then don't listen to me," he said, leaning forward so he can lean in close to Serena's face. "I am just a nobody." Seth turned on his heels and started to walk away. Serena sighed.

"Wait," Serena called back. Seth stopped and tilted his head to the side a bit so that he can hear clearly.

"...I'm sorry," Serena apologized softly. "It's just...complicated." Seth shoved his hands in his pocket and continue to walk away. A normal person would ask why it was complicated but he was different. He would give the girl time to get comfortable explaining. Besides, it wasn't his business. They weren't friends after all.

What made her different enough to make him ask? He didn't know. Serena Tsukino was an interesting girl but nothing about her made her extremely interesting. He dealt with girls before and girls like Serena will just break his heart.

He didn't need another heart break. He had plenty to deal with right now.

Seth's stoumach grumbled. Seth looked down and sighed. He was hungry...dang it.

He didn't want to go home...Korean styled ramen it was...

Read to gain important information...

Done! I changed the ending because Seth's new personality is totally different. He will though talk to Serena because it is in the plotline but Seth doesn't like to let people in. After what happened in his past, he is not the same person anymore. He is no longer cheerful and determined to help others. He used to be popular and happy but now...he rather be a loner. His skills, habits, interests, and looks are the only thing that has remained in him. They are just involved and for different reasons. For example, he is still incredibly smart but he studies now to keep himself distracted. But for what reason? We will see.

As you can see, we will explore deeper into his past. The synopsis just is the bare minimum what happened in his past. Seth represents the sun but the sun does have a darker side to it. Remember to review!
