Double or Nothing -A Drabble

She examined the bruises on her neck. Lydecker entered the room behind her. She met his eyes in the mirror.
"You failed. We've been forced to take more extreme measures to break Zack. "
"Yes sir."
"How did he know you were a decoy? Brin was fooled "
"My combat maneuvers were inconsistent with X-5 training" the stiff phrase fell from her lips. It was the only reason that might keep her alive. "I'm not an X-5," She faced Lydecker. That was her mistake.
His hand whipped upward to grip her neck pressing painfully into her bruises. " No, You're not."
