Sasu-chan's Anti-Valentine's
by Julie Watersprite
It was Valentine's Day. Sasuke hated Valentine's Say. He hated everything associated with the most annoying holiday known to humankind. Aside from never, ever even considering eating chocolate, flowers made his sneeze and cheesy love-notes made him gag. It was not a good day for him. At all.
Opening his front door he came face to face not with the expected mountain of chocolates, flowers, stuffed animals and other inane presents, but rather with a single box of dark chocolate truffles topped with a royal blue ribbon and a plain white envelope attached to it. Curiosity got the better of him and he picked it up, surprised at how light it was. Shrugging that off he looked at the envelope, the front simply read 'Sasuke', turning it around he found Sakura's name scrawled in her familiar handwriting.
That was odd, to say the least. Just that morning Naruto had complained about Sakura giving him and Sai a small box of cheap chocolate hearts, stressing it was giri-choco and they didn't deserve any better, while Kakashi got a whole cake topped with cherries and whip-cream. That had been honmei-choco for her lover.
A thought flashed through his mind and he smirked. So Sakura still wasn't over him. A feeling of satisfaction took over as he closed the door and went back to his living room, intent of finding out what Sakura had written. Setting the box on his table, he took the ribbon of. He tolerated dark chocolate, it wasn't too sweet, and this was his favorite kind, filled with rum. He opened the box and found only empty wrapping papers. Confused he opened the envelope and took out a white card. Turning it around he began to read,
The Only Thing Left to Say
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet,
And so are you.
But the roses are wilting,
The violets are dead,
The sugar bowl is empty,
And so is your head.
Of loving beauty you float with grace,
If only you could hide your face.
After you, my love, my only prize,
Would be a kunai between the eyes.
I thought that I could love no other,
Until that is, I met your brother.
I want to feel your sweet embrace,
Just don't take the bag off your face.
I love your smile, lips and eyes,
DAMN I'm good at telling lies.
Every time I see your face,
I want to blast you into outer space.
I see your face while I'm dreaming,
That is why I wake up screaming.
My love for you no words can tell,
Except for maybe...
GO TO HELL!
Happy Valentine's Sasu-chan!
Never going to be yours,
Sakura.
He really despised Valentine's Day.
A.N./ This was born during my most recent 'Hate Sasuke!' faze. I'd written for Valentine's 2010, but I had been lacking the courage to post anything back then. The only person who read this till now was my god sister Andy and Jasmin Kaiba, and both laughed their heads off. Maybe it'll get some laughs from you two. I hope you had fun reading it.
