Crayak called with an evil plan,

He said, "Write the worst you can

'Bout Allis."

So I turned on my tape deck and that way, I whined

(With all the evilness I could find)

Of how the illusions built up

Inside Allison's mind.

"She won't feel what you're feeling, she won't go where you'd go,

She's got her own emotions, but you just don't wanna know,"

(This is milder than most of what I used to say to Allis),

"So call off your bet, Hildy's little dove,

Your idea's truly charming, but you can't force her to love,

Though you make a nice set, Hildy, Essam, she, and you, Allis."

They slept together...two kids on the way...

Edriss loved them (she was forced to say

So by Allis).

They were their mothers, both, two of a kind,

For a while, Edriss wasn't unkind,

But then the illusions slipped slowly

Out of Allison's mind.

"Now it's not enough for her to be mother and wife,

Maybe you never noticed, but she'd also like a life,

And the kind of power that you can't even dream of, Allis!

But you're her host, and if you fight, you'll lose,

So just leave her alone, and perhaps leave her time to choose,

'Cause you know that, deep down, she loves your kids just like you,
Allis."

She loved just Hildy, not Essam himself,

But he said, "I know how to help

Defeat her, Allis."

Then Essam died, and Hildy could make no claim,

So she had to wear wigs and alter her name,

But Edriss killed her all the same --

Edriss knows what she's doing and where she's gonna go,

She's got the whole thing planned out, but her host will never know,

'Cause Edriss, at long last, has managed to get free of Allis.

From now on, Edriss will make ev'ry choice,

She can be perfectly all right without her "inner voice",

And if she ever feels love, it will be no thanks to Allis.
