"James and Lily sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G." James Potter thought to himself. He had just got back from the best Hogsmeade trip ever. Why was it the best Hogsmeade trip? Well, because he got to spend it with Lily Evans. That's right the Lily Evans, the one he had been pining over for years. She had finally accepted to go on a date with him. She wasn't even being blackmailed into it either. She was there on her on free will. What would have made it even better was if they has kissed. But, unfortunately, they didn't. Sirius had to come at that exact moment.

FLASHBACK

As they looked into each other's eyes, they leaned in for what James knew would be the best kiss of his life, when-

"Why hello Prongs and Lily. Isn't it a coincident that we just so happened to run into each other." Sirius said as he strolled up to them.

"Black, how did you get here?" Lily asked, thoroughly annoyed by the fact that he interrupted their moment.

" Well, I thought you would know but if I have to explain it. Hmm, how do I put this. When a man and women love each other very much, they-"

"Not how you got on this planet, how you got to Hogsmeade. I thought they banned you from coming considering that incident last involving you and fire whiskey. Lots and lots of fire whiskey." Lily remarked remembering the mass mayhem that occurred because of Sirius and his fire whiskey.

"I have my ways," he said tapping his nose knowingly. " What I wanted to discuss was the sight that I saw when I cam here. Were you two kissing."

"We were going to until you interrupted." James growled menacingly. This did not seem to have any effect on Sirius at all.

"Well, by all means, go ahead. Pretend like I'm not even here." Sirius said, while staring at them as if they were a very interesting movie.

'That's it I'm leaving." Lily muttered while turning away. "See you later James."

James stood there wanting to say something but not finding the courage to. When he finally settled on saying bye, she had already left. He started to turn on Sirius, about to yell at him for ruining his kiss when he heard him singing.

"James and Lily sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G-, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes little Jamesie in a baby carriage.

END OF FLASHBACK

That's what got James thinking. James and Lily. That sounded prefect. And he knew they would kiss. Probably not in a tree, but they would kiss. The rest of the day, James was humming that song.
