Chapter 1: Introducing a new team member
Sobs. Whimpers. Crying.
That's all that could be heard in the filthy alleyway. The alleyway is covered in blood, trash, and other things that can not be described with words. A little girl, around the age of seven, cries out in pain.
"You embarrassed me in front of everyone! Why can't you do anything right?"
Another punch to the face, a kick to the stomach.
The little girl didn't know how the older woman with blonde hair found her but she was grateful, relieved that she had finally been found. The sounds of grunts and then footsteps as someone ran away echoed through the ally. Her vision was slightly blurred from tears and pain as she watched the blonde woman walk towards her. She watched the woman crouch down in front of her as black crept into her vision. The last thing she heard before her mind drifted into unconsciousness was,"You're safe now…"

A young woman, around fifteen, with wavy, dark brown hair that went to her mid-back and wore a simple black and blue mask that covered her eyes, walked with an older woman with blonde replica of the actual mount justice stood just a few feet away. The young woman looked up at the older woman with a weary frown,"Black Canary…what if they don't like me? You said that everyone else already met each other…"
Black Canary smiled at the young woman and put her hand on her shoulder,"You'll be fine. Robin and Kid Flash are there and you know they will help you through it all." She looked up as they approached the door,"Here we go. Now, I've already programmed your into the computer so it will announce you're arrival by your Superhero name." Her lips stretched into a small grin as she looked at the nervous young woman and stepped forward,"Let's go."

The two women walked out of the Zeta tubes after it announced their arrival and instantly ran into Batman.
Black Canary smirked at Batman and Robin since they were the only ones there at the moment,"Hello Batman, Robin." She nodded her head at them before she turned and motioned for the younger woman to come forward,"Is everyone in the building?"
Batman nodded,"Yes, they will be here in five minutes." He looked over at the smaller female that he had known for most of her young life,"Be sure you are prepared to introduce yourself."
The young female nodded and took a deep breath as Black Canary waved goodbye and left. Batman stood in front of her to block the others views. She looked over at Robin and smiled weakly when he smiled and gave her the thumbs up sign. Her hands shook as she heard people gather into the room. She peaked out from behind Batman when she heard a familiar, loud voice. Her bright green eyes widened when she saw the familiar wind blown red hair and gave a wide smile. Three people she knew were here. She would be alright.
Batman cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. He looked over the three faces that were in front of him with a hard, piercing glare," We have someone here who is going to stay here with you guys and help with missions." He moved to the side, cape swishing behind him to reveal the young woman who had taken to hiding behind him,"Meet Natura. She will be your new teammate."
Okay so I know its short but i just wanted to get used to the website and figured the first chapter would be a good time to practice. I promise the next will be longer and hopefully better. Please review cause id like to know if im doing at least a decent job for my first story.
