She just couldn't help it. The tears that kept rolling down her cheeks splashed unto her white blouse. It couldn't be. It all has to be a lie. . . He's gone! I, I-I c-can't believe it. . .

She shook her head several times to rid herself of the memories. He's back. Those words made her tremble in fear and self anxiety. The girl curled herself into a ball of insecurity and anguish. He's back, and who knows what he'll do. I sure know what he's capable of.

The woman bit her lip and sighed, "I've got to relax, and panicking won't help at all," though she mumbled it in confidence she couldn't help the clammy and slick moisture forming in her hands.

She slowly got up and walked across the room with a lanky grace. With her trembling fingers, she picked up the photograph featuring a happy couple. The man had brilliant amethyst eyes, with rich auburn hair, and a handsome smile to boot. The woman leaning onto the man, with her arms crossed, had bluish-black hair, beautiful jewel-like eyes, and grinned with an innocence of a child.

The woman yet again shook her head and placed the photograph back to its spot on the dresser. She walked a few steps and sat on her bed. It's been years since I last saw that face. I moved far away from our childhood town, and yet. . . She sighed, "Life isn't a bunch of roses, is it? It's like walking with a high heel, except it has a broken heel." Or a broken heart.

"I thought you left, for good, but maybe I was wrong," tears welled up in her eyes, "all that's left is shattered pieces," she bit her lip to the point of bleeding, "no matter how hard you try," she could not go on, it'll never be the same.

Please review! This is my second fan fiction and I need to know what to improve on, or what I should add. Thank you!
