1. Prologue

Prologue~

The Northerners had attacked and taken over. They had decided to run the kingdom that they have taken over the same way, except with less Castes. The Northerner each belonged to the factions. They reduced the amount of Castes and wouldn't call them by numbers, but by the name of their group. Amity was the first Caste, the one with the King and Queen, the most important Caste. Second Caste, was the Erudite, where the businessmen and teachers and important people came from. Third Caste was Candor, where the judges came from and some important people. Fourth Caste, was Dauntless, where most of top soldiers and the army came. Fifth Caste, was Abnegation, where most of the workers came from. The Sixth Caste was the Divergent, and they were treated as slaves like the Seventh Caste, which was the factionless. The Eight Caste, was the criminals or outcasts. The Factions had admired the Selection and had decided to do it with their Castes. They ruled over the southerners, which had agreed to become their people. For many years, they did the Selection, since the King had many kids. Now it was time for the next young girl to marry Prince Jake.
