elmo-doodle: She's back! With a very short oneshot, lol! I felt like I should post something SCRUBS-oriented, since I haven't done so since My Magic Box. I'm gonna be quick with this one: it originated from the fact that I'm going out on my Duke of Ed Gold expedition tomorrow. Four days on a bike, sheesh. I'm hoping I don't end up in the ER again this time, lol. I've still got a bit of limited movement with my left arm, but the crescent-shaped scar is very cool ^_^ Anyway, this oneshot erupted because I though, Hmm, what would JD and Perry be like on a hike? So, this was born. Enjoy!!

MY TENT

"Ugh, damn sticks... aw, shi--"

"Everything okay out there, Newbie?"

"Oh, yeah," JD lied, scowling. "Everything's peachy." A grunt was his reply. JD sighed and once again tried to light the pile of sticks that were sitting on the ground. Every time one of the sticks caught fire, he always managed to put it out again while trying to feed the flame. JD cursed loudly as this happened again.

Perry stuck his head out of the tent. "What the hell are you doing?" he asked, then added after observing JD's actions. "That's wrong, you know."

JD growled, much to the older man's amusement. "No, I don't know," JD said. "While you've been in there sleeping, I've been out here unsuccessfully trying to light a fire!"

Perry rolled his eyes and crawled out of the two-man tent and went to kneel beside the fire. "Give me that," he said, taking the lighter off of JD. "You have to light one of the sticks and then throw it to the bottom of the pile. It'll take longer to get it going if you try that from the top."

JD mumbled something about Perry being a "know-it-all cavemen" as he watched his other half successfully light the fire and get the flame going. "You're doing that next time," he huffed, folding his arms.

Perry chuckled and sat back. "It's easy once you know what to do."

"Yeah, but this is my first time camping!" JD protested. "How am I meant to know how light a fire, or pack a rucksack? Or put up a tent?"

Perry grimaced. "That was a disaster," he agreed.

JD pouted slightly, and leaned against Perry. "Then teeeeach meeeeee..."

"Okay, okay," Perry said, gruffly. "But not tonight..." he continued, raising an eyebrow suggestively, "I have other plans."

JD felt his eyes widen. "R-really?" he squeaked, much to Perry's amusement. "Here? You want to do that here?"

"Why not? It's you, me, a tent, and nobody for miles around."

"Yeah, but..."

"You don't want to?"

"I do!"

"Then what is it?"

JD flushed. "You make a lot of noise," he mumbled, his ears turning read.

Perry looked at him expectantly. "And..." he prompted, when JD didn't say anything else.

"Well," JD eventually continued, "I don't want any bears being attracted here by the noises."

Perry shrugged casually, even as he placed one of his arms behind JD. "Well," he said, "I can think of something that will keep my mouth occupied..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"...JD?"

"Put the fire out."

"Why?"

"'Cause we're going inside the tent."
