A/N: I'm back! Thank you to everyone who read/reviewed "Life In The Fishbowl", you all really put a smile on my face. :) Also, a big thank you to Patrick Verona's Cougar, who gave me instructions for how to edit already-published chapters. Those instructions will DEFINITELY come in handy, considering that I am pretty much ALWAYS editing my work* (*Oh, to be a perfectionist!).

Anyways, this is just a little one-shot that I wrote completely out of the blue. I wrote this in literally five minutes, so this fic wasn't structured... the words just sort of "flowed" from my mind to the paper without thinking. This is based off of a deleted scene where Jack and Rose, well, kiss by the boilers. (I'm sure you can find it on YouTube somewhere if you don't own the DVD.) Just to let you know, it's really, really, really, really short. (I know that some people don't like short fics, but hey, this is just a little one-shot. It's kind of supposed to be short.) The title of this fic isn't the most creative. I apologize in advance for this. Oh yeah, one more thing, I do repeat certain words/phrases quite a bit in this for emphasis. I'm kind of big on emphasis. I don't really know why, though. :)

As always, I hope you enjoy it. :)

But you still remember the way he kissed you by the boilers.

Something seemed to just happen- it was like magic and to this day you still could never explain it if you tried. The smoke and fire around the two of you seemed to dissapear as he let out everything for the first time and didn't hold any of it back. He'd never been so passionate. And deep inside, you knew.

You knew that you belonged with him and it didn't matter where you went, you were ready and so was he, and there was nothing to be afraid or ashamed of.

Like all kisses, it had to end. But when you looked into his eyes you knew it wasn't really over. That kiss was just the beginning of it. You both wanted to go finish what had been started, and so when you found yourself alone with him in the Renault it seemed like the perfect time to get back to where you had left off.

And to this day, whenever you think about what happened in the back of that Renault you get beautiful, fluttery feelings inside and you feel like nothing could ever bring you down.

Yes, it had officially happened in the Renault. You remember the texture of the seats and the foggy windows. But you know that it really, truly started when he kissed you by the boilers. That's where it all began, that's when the passion you felt and the passion he felt made itself known. That's how it all started, and the Renault was simply finishing what had already begun.

It was that kiss by the boilers that forever changed your life. And to this day, just seeing the tiny flame on a candle brings you back to that room of fire and you can't help but feel a deep sense of pleasure spread throughout your whole body.

You know your life truly began with that kiss by the boilers.

That kiss is something that you will never let go off. If there's one thing you'll remember when you die, it will be that kiss. That kiss is all you need to be happy when you're alone at night in your bedroom, lying in your bed like any old lady should be. Just thinking about it sets the clocks back and you're suddenly by the boilers and you feel like you'll never leave that room of flames, and your heart is somehow able to contain all the love you feel inside as he keeps his lips pressed to yours.

You still remember the way he kissed you by the boilers. And you always will.

Always.

The End
