Pony: I do not own Weight Of The World (Evanescence – The Open Door) or any of the characters in Star Wars.
The young man knew the darkness in his heart. He knew he was being mislead. But he couldn't find a hold on life…
Feels like the weight of the world
like God in heaven gave me a turn
don't cling to me, I swear I can't fix you
still in the dark, can you fix me?
Freefall, freefall, all through life
As he saw Padme's ship land, his heart burst.
'She should not be here! I will destroy her!' But he walked to her, knowing with every step she would die at his hand.
She looked at him with those trusting eyes, those innocent eyes. He loved her. He needed her. He hated her.
If you love me, then let go of me
I wont be held down by who I used to be
He ran to her as she ran to him. They embraced, his hatred pushed from his mind. She spoke her fears and he soothed them, as he always had. His anger was nearly pushed away when a face intruded, pushing hers away.
He let out a shout, more animal then human. Love and kindness gave way to hate and anger. His look that once held love held only loathing.
Dimly, he knew this was wrong. That she would never hurt him. That she only wanted to help. But that part was too far buried. He reached to kill her.
Feels like the weight of the world
like all my screaming has gone unheard
and oh I know you don't believe in me
safe in the dark, how can you see?
He didn't hear words, but he released the grip on the woman he had once loved. He knew only anger…and sorrow.
'How did it get this far?' He was aware of thinking. In answer, he raised the weapon in his hand and turned it on his former friend. The moves that once were clumsy blended together. He turned all his anger and hate on his only friend, destroying himself in the process. The fight had gone to the lava.
'How did it get this far?' He pressed on. He knew he was loosing when his mentor got the upper ground. He knew he would die in the attack, but he was controlled only by animal instinct – the one to kill.
He felt more then heard the torment it took his friend to give that horrible blow.
Freefall, freefall, all through life
Pain exploded through him. He let go of consciousness quickly, leaving with one last look at his enemy's face.
Waking again, he felt the power flow from him. Encased in metal and plastic, he was safe from the world. Nothing could hold him down again…
If you love me, then let go of me
I wont be held down by who I used to be
