A little girl sat upon her porch tears streaming down her face and collecting near her chin. The cold air bits at her cheek, making them a deeper red then they already were. She wiped at her tears trying to shake off the deep pit of despair that clouded her mind stopping all logical thought. Her parents had left her again flew of to who knows where coming back who knew when. So there she sat alone on cristmas morning alone with no friends, no family. She wished more then ever that she would see the blue box appear next to her and out would step the doctor smile on his face.

He had always been smiling when she had seen him. He had been what got her through the long cold nights alone. He always cheered her up if he was there or not. Rising from her spot, she felt the cold effecting her movement. She quickly got inside and started to make some bacon; she sat down and nibbled on one slice. She could not eat she was way to upset as she climbed up to her room she remembered the crack. That crack had scared her so much when she was little but not anymore. She lay down on her bed and thought about the crazy man with a box. All of a sudden, she heard a whirring sound. She sprang off her bed nearly threw herself down the stairs and ran out the front door. However, when she got out side all that was there was a big present wrapped in tardis blue wrapping paper. She ripped it open and saw what was inside. It was a miniature tardis! She pulled open the door and there was a note.

"Dear Amy, I know you must feel bad right now but you must know that I will always be there for you. One day you will fly around the universe, see planets in different galaxies, and fall in love. The whole time I will stand by you. Even in the darkest of times when all hope is lost I will be there."

A madman with a box

As Amy looked up with a new hope a boys voice called to her, "Hey what's that?"

"The best gift I have ever gotten." She replied

"What is it supposed to be?" he pondered

"A box." She replied," That has an amazing owner." He looked at her for a few seconds and said,

"I have a feeling were going to be great friends!"

"I am Amy." She replied sticking out her hand, "What's your name?"

"I'm Rory!" he said with a big grin

"And that," finished Amy, "Is how we met."
