A/N. I know I need to update the other story, but I have finals to take. Yeah not a good excuse, but you get it while I'm supposed to be studying. So Review?
A/N 2. Storyline is a little different. Ok. Ryan and Castle have been good friends for a while now and they have the inseparable friendship that is with Ryan and Javi. The guys are staying with Castle for a while. They underwent therapy because of seeing Beckett lying in her own blood and it kept them bothering the doctors for a few hours asking for information on Beckett's condition. When Beckett got out of the ER, she needed to have constant supervision. Seeing as that Dr. Dochensnozel (A.K.A. Josh Davidson) couldn't be with her, Castle volunteered himself to watch her. It's been a few weeks since Beckett got out of the ER.
Summary. Castle realizes that Beckett wasn't the only one affected by her shooting. One shot.
The scream was loud, really loud. Castle wishes that he knew how to calm him down. Beckett managed to sleep through it this time.
Castle walked over to the guest room where Ryan was sleeping, and saw him awake and crying. Again. Not that Castle minded taking care of Ryan; it was just when they got his results back from the therapist it would- should- make more sense. Hopefully.
"Hey buddy," Castle said. "You ok?" He saw Ryan shake his head and his heart sank. He was used to the Irish detective being strong in front of him, but he was probably tired and really scared. "Wanna talk about it?" He tried. Mid shake of Ryan's head that turned into a nod. Castle sat down on the edge of the bed, pulling Ryan into his chest and rubbing his back to calm him down.
Ryan shakily took a breath and then started. "Um, 'member when Mong'mry w's kill'd 'nd the 'uneral?" At Castle's nod, Ryan started up again. "'Nd when Beck'tt g't shot?" Another nod. "Um, scary. Saw her dead 'nd you were…" Ryan trailed off, not wanting to go back to that memory.
Castle jumped in, calming Ryan down, "He bud, I'm here so is Beckett. You know that. It's ok." Castle kept rubbing Ryan's back until he fell asleep. Not taking any chances, he brought Ryan into the big bed in the master bedroom and the two fell asleep and stayed asleep for a few hours.
