Jack Mercer's body.

The rest of the Mercer brothers were sitting on the stairs, silent and obviously hurting. The Spanish chick, Green recalled her name to be Sofi, was softly rubbing Angel Mercer's shoulders.

Angel was now the youngest of the Mercers.

"Why did it have to be our mom?," Angel asked a couple of minutes later.

Green fell silent for a moment and looked over at the oldest, Bobby.

"Why did it have to be Jackie?," his eyes said through sorrow and anger.
