Dear Belle,
I read your letter today. It's hard to believe it's been six months since you left Summer Bay. Since you left me.
Everyone misses you. Irene, Geoff, Annie, Alf, Nicole- especially me. I miss you so much, Belle, I love you so much.
Some people say it gets easier as time goes on.
That's what the old man Bruce told Annie and Geoff when they lost their parents. That's what Charlie and Ruby were told when their mother died. That's what Annie and Geoff were told when they lost the old man Bruce.
That's what I was told when I lost you.
I remember the day I lost you like it was yesterday. You were cold, and I just knew you were gone. I was only glad about one thing, you know. The fact that you had died peacefully. You stopped breathing in your sleep, and not in a lot of pain. You died being my Belle. I love you so much.
I remember you telling me, before you died, when we went for our last walk. You just wanted me to be happy. If I was happy, you'd be happy, that's what you said.
I am happy, Belle. Nicole was your best friend, and I really like her. I love her, if you could say that. I'm going to need time, and so will she. You were close.
I'll never love anyone the way I loved you. That's what Nicole said, anyway.
I miss you, Belle, every single day. It never goes away. When you died, a part of me went with you.
I love you, Belle, and one day we'll be together again.
