"Hey Jamie, can I talk to you?" Kendall whispered nervously.
Jamie All Over
James nodded and hopped out of bed to sit in the one next to his.
"What's up Kendall?" he asked, surprised at his tone of voice. He sounded scared.
"I wrote a song for you. Please don't hate me," he whispered, once again surprising his roommate. James looked straight at him.
"I could never hate you." I love you, he thought to himself. Kendall seemed to accept this, at least for the time.
"I had a dream last night; we drove out to see Las Vegas. We lost ourselves in the bright lights; I wish you could have seen us." James smiled, thinking that it would have been fun to go to Vegas with his best friend. "Begging for change to get home, or at least San Francisco. Let's put a ten on the high card, and spend a summer on the west coast."
"You wore the red shirt that I love," he sang to him. "I sang the song that I wrote you. We laughed our way down the beaches as we danced around the issue. Down and to the left (here's the map and the pen, the place you pointed at), California's best (all I ask, all I ask)." He sighed.
"And please don't tell me that I'm dreaming, when all I ever wanted was to dream another sunset with you. If I roll over when it's over, I'll take the Cali sunrise with me and wake up with the fondest memories." James was confused; was he talking about Big Time Rush?
"We made love by the ocean as the waves crashed around you. Sunsets never were so bright, and the skies never so blue. You opened up into my arms, and we laughed as I held you. I'll never go back to Minnesota, not at least 'til I have to." Shocked, James turned to face the wall. "Down and to the left (here's the map and the pen, the place you pointed at), California's best (all I ask, all I ask)."
"And please don't tell me that I'm dreaming, when all I ever wanted was to dream another sunset with you. If I roll over when it's over, I'll take the Cali sunrise with me and wake up with the fondest memories." James suddenly understood, and turned to face Kendall again.
"I had a dream last night; we drove out to see Las Vegas. We lost ourselves in the bright lights." James attempted to repeat what Kendall had sung. "And please don't tell me that I'm dreaming, when all I ever wanted was to dream another sunset with you. If I roll over when it's over, I'll take the Cali sunrise with me and wake up with the fondest memories." They started to sing together.
"We made love by the ocean as the waves crashed around you. Sunsets never were so bright, and the skies never so blue. You opened up into my arms, and we laughed as I held you. I'll never go back to Minnesota, not at least 'til I have to." James looked into Kendall's eyes, seeing nothing but love within them.
"Down and to the left…"
