"Rose?"
She stopped dead and turned slowly. Her breathe caught in her throat, but she barely even noticed. Her heart hammered an erratic rhythm in her chest, as she could scarcely believe what she was seeing. She stared at him, a smile light up his face just as it had in an April now long past. He looked the same as he had then, dirty blonde hair in his beautiful intense eyes.
"Jack?" She whispered softly. He nodded as if reassuring her that she hadn't strayed into a dream. "Jack" she repeated with a bit more certainty.
"Yeah Rose, it's me." He said softly. She took a stumbling step towards him, her legs refusing to work at first. But then as she grew closer they decided to work and she ran to him, throwing her arms around him, eyes weeping, and heart pouring open. The world around them faded away, as it always did when they were together. She could care less about all the problems the world had to offer, all that mattered was that they were together, now and forever, no matter what.
