A/N: This is set post-Ignite Me and Warner and Juliette have a house together.

I can see my breath hovering in front of me, like tendrils of smoke. The freshly fallen snow covers the roof of our house, the wind blowing bits of it off. It mixes in with the bits of snow still falling from the overcast sky. Warner is standing at the drive in his long black overcoat, staring at something on his phone. I'm in position behind the bushes waiting for Kenji to show up and give the signal, a large pile of snowballs stacked up behind me. I had told Warner that I needed to go back into the house to get something, a scarf, thicker socks, now I can't remember. He had just nodded and made an affirmative noise, not really looking up from his phone. I went in, only to come out the backdoor, creeping my way towards the bushes.

I hear a rustle, quiet enough to not be heard if one is not paying attention and know that's the signal. Snowball at the ready, I wait for the first one to be launched. It sails through the wintry air, hitting Warner on the shoulder and pushing him to the side. I stifle a giggle. He looks up, startled, peering around and after not seeing anything goes back to focusing on his phone. It's my turn now. I bring my hand up, elbow bent, aiming, and send it flying before ducking back behind the bushes so he doesn't see me. I peek through the brambles. He's brushing the snow off of the back of his neck, some of it going into his coat. Not laughing becomes even harder. Kenji launches another, the snowball seeming to have come out of nowhere. Warner's posture is going stiff, clearly annoyed. He marches into the house, putting his phone in his jacket pocket as he goes. And I lose it.

Falling back onto my knees, I laugh and laugh and laugh. Kenji appears by my side suddenly, startling me. He uses his power like there's no tomorrow, and I don't think I'll ever get used to him sneaking up on me.

"Great aim there," he says with a smile, plopping down on the snow next to me.

"Likewise. This was an excellent plan. We make quite the-" I get cut off as something cold and hard hits me in the back. I scramble around, sitting on the snow with my knees up. Warner is staring down at me, a smirk on his face.

"If you wanted a fight love, all you had to do was ask," he says. His arm is behind his back and before I know it, Kenji is down too. Warner is chuckling now.

I take advantage.

Jumping up, I gather snow in my hand, not bothering with forming it into a ball and hurl it at him. It takes him by surprise, but he recovers immediately and by this time Kenji is back up too. Before I know it, we're warring against each other, every woman and man for themselves. Snow is flying, mixing in with the flakes that are falling from the sky. Warner and Kenji are at each other for a while, leaving me enough time to gather enough snow for at least three snowballs, all bunched into one. I aim carefully, knowing that this is my one shot and throw.

It hits Warner square in the face.

He gets a predatory look in his eye.

I run for it.

I round the house, the snow slowing me down. I can hear him catching up to me; I'm too busy laughing to care. A set of strong arms envelopes me, picking me up with my legs in the air in front of me, giggling so hard I'm sure my face is red. Warner sets me down, and I turn to face him. Snow is falling from his tawny hair, and his green eyes are dancing with mischief, his body shaking with laughter. His arm around my waist lifts me to my toes, and he leans down, his cold lips brushing mine. He tilts his head, deepening the kiss.

Before we could go at it, something cold and wet slapped the side of my face. We pull away from each other. Warner's cheek and ear are dripping with snow, and we both look to the side. Kenji is standing there, a cocky grin on his face.

"Looks like I win."
