I do not own Hetalia. Hidekaz Himaruya does.
A/N: Another depressing fic! :D From this sadistic kid! ;D No, I'm not sadistic; I'm just one who expresses her feelings through writing. Yeah :D Anyways, it takes place during the COLD WAR! :D HOHOHO~ And this is my first time writing in erm… I know its neither first person nor third person, second person perspective? :D Ya? HAHA Anyways, I realized my one-shots are all depressing. Anyways, let's get to the story! :D
REVIEWS WILL BE LOVED!

Night has fallen hours ago and you didn't even know. You're surrounded by complete darkness but you couldn't care less.
You've been running for god knows how long and you don't even feel the slightest bit of pain or tiredness.
Fear is fueling your adrenaline.
You know there's a killer hot on your heels.
As you run through the labyrinth of darkness, you crash into unknowing corners and meet dead ends; almost anything that could keep you from escaping your fate.
You're still running; beads of sweat trickle down your face, your breathing has turned erratic, your heartbeat is quickening by the second.
The tunnels are so quiet and inhabited that you can practically hear every gasp for air that escapes your lips.
You know that there has to be a way out of this maze and the only was is to continue running. Your body suddenly chooses to rebel against your mind; your legs give way and you collapse onto the dirt-ridden ground.
You sit there, giving yourself a breather, hoping your initial sprint was enough to leave the stalker behind.
And then you hear footsteps.
You scramble up to your feet and try to run again but you have already lost your momentum from before.
You're pushing yourself to the limit but you know it isn't enough.
And before you know it, you're crying; your life flashes before your eyes as you run for your life, literally.
The fame and the glory. Everything you thought one needed to be happy; you had them all and you shamelessly flaunted them.
The girl you were going to marry. Alice Kirkland was her name and you thought you guys would grow old together. That was, until you found her murdered in her apartment.
You couldn't protect her though you swore you could.
The mistake you made. You thought your status would make you untouchable to the world. You thought that a little crude remark wouldn't hurt everybody.
Until it got you entangled in this game of "cat and mouse" and caused you to lose everything.
And finally, you realize something. In this game of "cat and mouse", only the cat would win. Unfortunately in this case, you're the mouse.
The footsteps behind you get louder.
You've decided to just accept your fate; you've known long ago it was going to end like this. Your feet stay rooted to the ground, your heartbeat is racing and your mind is overwhelmed by mixed emotions as you ponder over your predicament.
The footsteps are getting louder and louder and suddenly, they stop.
And you realize a gun is against your back.
"Game over comrade Alfred."
And before you can say anything, the trigger had been pulled and you fall to the ground at the impact of the bullet as it pierces through your back.
There isn't anything you can do now but wait for heaven to come and take you away. The pain is excruciating and for once, you just can't wait to die.
Around you feels wet and sticky and you realize you're lying is a pool of your own blood.
You feel your breaths and heartbeat start to slow down, your vision becomes blurred, and your chest is constricting.
The time is here.
But before you take your final breath, you can only think of one thing.
Heroes aren't supposed to end this way.
A/N: Well... that sucked. Yeah, I'm going to write happier things now. Bye(:
