"Hi, I'm Harry Potter." said Harry when he met the school's newest student
"Hi Harry. I'm Alexia Marianna Susanna Gregoria Cressida Claire Brown."
"That's a long name."
"Yeah, I think my parents were just joking until they found out I couldn't change it until I was 18. So you can just call me Mary Sue."
'Mary Sue' was the newest student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She was one of several transfer students who had arrived from Durmstrang over the past year or so due to their parentage being 'inadequate'. Currently she was in fifth year, a year behind Harry and his friends. The Durmstrang students had their own house, Aran-u-tang, and had lessons separately to the rest of the school.
She hated attention, as her parents had always coaxed her to be perfect, pretty and super-intelligent. Unfortunately for them and her, they had succeeded. Mary was often described in flowing prose, so I shall tell you what most people would say.
'She has long, short, flowing, cascading, beauteous, lustrous, shining, perfect, shimmering, silky, glamorous, pulchritudinous and gorgeous hair. It's long, almost all the way to her knees. It's a wonderful, beautiful and extraordinary shade of blonde, but it has streaks of almost every colour known to man, and a few known only to dolphins. Her eyes are awesome. They're a voluminous shade of brownish-grey and they sparkle sometimes. She has piercings all down the edge of her ear and a sparkly bellybutton ring. She is about 5 foot 10 inches and has E-cup boobs. She always wears great clothes. The best outfit she has is: a black and white and red Tokio Hotel t-shirt (who cares about the anachronism!), a tartan mini skirt with frills, chains, voodoo dolls, safety pins and lace all over it, heavy purple boots with spiderwebs, buckles and chunky shoelaces & loads and loads of amazing jewellery. She has a crush on Anthony Goldstein. You know, the totally quiet, plain Ravenclaw sixth year. Seriously! She can have anyone she wants and she wants Anthony Goldstein. Ugh.'
Mary was excellent in all of her classes, although she could never beat Hermione or Harry in theory and practical respectively. She had lots of special powers. She could plait her hair just by thinking of it, she could do wandless Transfiguration, she had a special ring from some guy called 'Captain Planet' with a little picture of a heart on it (she always said heart was the worst element) that she found in Mexico, she had a pet Giratina that she carried around in a thing called a Pokeball.
Her parents were quite nice to her, but she got teased a lot in primary school for being so speshul.
