This is a soldiers perspective of what happened, the lawn mower scene

I was lurching through the shadows, looking for the Australians that have escaped; I feel like a predator on a mission to get these teenagers, my name is Aamina and this is my story.

I was only 17 when my parents forced me to join the army, they made me shave my hair and dress me up to look like a boy, they always wanted a boy but instead got me they don't have much approval that's why they are sending me off. I said my goodbyes to my parents and set off on a new journey of being a soldier. They trained us hard they thought it would make us stronger, but really it made me weaker. They told me we have to kill to survive, I didn't quite understand the survive part until they told us they are planning on invading Australia, though I was not as strong as they others they made me go anyway.

Finally it was our big day to serve my country and invade another, I boarded the plain and it felt like this was a never ending plane trip! This was my first time going to Australia but others say it is the best place on earth and I thought then why are we invading it? We finally landed at a place called Warrawee and surprised all the people in town cause they thought we were there army coming home from commem day. We trapped all of the town in the showgrounds and by now it was dark and I was starting to get tiered and restless lucky my shift ended soon!

It has been 5 day since we invaded Australia and I was starting to get a little bored I thought there was going to be more action! Then I herd gun shots and saw teenagers not much older than me running along the fence my boss well the head chief, told me and 6 others to go and capture them wether they were dead or alive.

We set of and followed them up a street and then down a street, then we lost them, suddenly the vehicle came to a holt, the leader of the group told us to split into 3 or 4's, I went with 2 other males they looked strong and masculine so I thought I was safe. Though I was not pre paired to die but then again I was not pre paired to kill anyone either. We went in and I thought it was all clear but I was wrong when I herd shuffling and whispering, I kept hearing the name Ellie though I wasn't sure if is was a name cause I don't really know English very well.

We started walking through the backyard some more, ready to shoot at any moment but really I was just pretending and putting on a brave face. We were in the clearing now and couldn't see anything even with the lights on our guns wasn't helping! Then suddenly a big light came flying near me I jumped and stepped away from it when I looked at it the fire was on the lawn mower ready to be blown up at any stage, but I felt like running but I couldn't I was frozen I was so scared of what might happen. Then it blew up right in my colleges and myself faces,

We got murdered that day in cold hearted blood.
