Something about Her
Author Note: Honestly, I've had an idea for this one-shot for quite a while. I just haven't written until...well, now! :D There really AREN'T Emily/Kevin fics...not anymore! ;)
Something about her.
There was just something about that blonde girl.
He wouldn't lie: At first, he thought she was going to be a pain in the rear. She was taking Serena's place, and Serena was a very disiplined fighter indeed. He'd thought he was really going to like the Yellow Ranger.
Well, then he saw who she was really going to be, and he had second thoughts.
But it turns out, he did like her. She was sweet, young, and naive. She had ambition, and he agreed with Mike: She had guys. She knew she was the youngest and behind.
And she was doing her best to catch up.
She was suceeding, too. She just didn't know that quite yet.
He should like Mia. She was his age, beautiful, gracement, smart...
Okay, she couldn't cook, but...
But the thing is, he needed a little innocence and sugar in his disiplined, boring life.
"Emily," he asked slightly tentivley, not wanting to be so afraid to ask her. Girls liked guys with backbone...that's what he'd have to have.
"Yeah, Kev?" she looked up at him with those, big innocent, doe eyes, and his heart promptly melted right through his ribcage.
"I...uh..." he chewed his lower lip a bit, scratching the back of his neck nervously, "Em...I...I kinda'..."
"Emily!" a familar voice called, and his best friend on the team walked up, being the owner of the voice, "hey, Em."
"Mike," she greeted brightly, kissing his cheek.
His heart reformed just to break.
He tried to be happy with Mia.
He really, really did.
But something about her...something about Emily made him still be in love with only her.
And nothing would change it
