The water looked deep and inviting; Yeah . . . I got run over by a unicorn!
The river gushed through the trees.
The unicorn flew over waters rushing,
Only to run into me!
Yeah . . . I got run over by a unicorn!
Oh, it came through the trees and over the water,
Yeah . . . I got run over by a unicorn!
"And that was the Weird Sisters new single, 'I Got Run Over By A Unicorn!' I'm WitchLikely, your favorite DJ, on WizardHits! Up next is another Weird Sister favorite, 'Do The Hippogriff'! Remember to send in your requests and don't forget to sign up for V.I.W. backstage passes to meet the Weird Sisters! Alright, here's 'Do The Hippogriff'!"
WitchLikely waved her wand and the angsty rock song flowed out onto the airways. What do kids listen to these days? she thought to herself. "Lumos" by Spellbound was her personal favorite, with its flowing melody that talked about two lost lovers trying to find each other. But no teen in the right mind ever listened to the all-witch band anymore. Spellbound was too 'old'. As the teenage favorite raged on, WitchLikely had a battle raging on in her own head. Do I play a classic, and risk losing my job, or do I play this junk and lose more adult listeners? It was true. Every day she watched as the number of adult listeners steadily decreased. WitchLikely had even gotten some hate mail from an angry wizard saying that 'the stuff she played was rubbish' and that she need to 'wake up and realize that she wasn't a teenager anymore.' Her boss wouldn't be that mad if she told him that the adult listeners were dropping because of the crazy teenage songs that polluted the WizardHits airway. Maybe some teens would appreciate the slower, calmer music. As the chorus for the teenage favorite rolled around, WitchLikely had made up her mind.
Do the hippo-do-do-the hippogriff!
Do the hippo-do-do-the hippogriff!
I'm going show these kids what they're missing out on, she thought. And hopefully gain back some adult listeners.
As the song rolled on, WitchLikely began to search for her favorite song. They won't know what hit 'em.
When the last raging chord vibrated through the air, WitchLikely spoke with confidence, "Up next we have an old classic, 'Lumos' by Spellbound!"
And she's back.
