Blair entered Dan's loft without knocking. She came back from Monaco without Louis, without a ring and a hardbound copy of "Inside".

"You're terrible." She said to Dan, watching him as he stared out the window. He seemed different, even with him there, the loft seemed empty.

"So I've heard… I'm actually surprised it took you this long." He faced her. He looked bad. He grew a beard, his eyes were bloodshot, and his hair was all over the place.

"I was walking around the city with one all-consuming, paralyzing thought. It was a thought about how someone made me want to stay inside. Someone, who, despite her strong exterior, has a very gentle heart; someone who schemes and plays games, but is still very loyal to her family and her friends; someone who throws the worst insults at you and smile mischievously because she doesn't want to hurt you, she just wants to make fun. She's someone who's very intelligent, very intuitive…someone who's not afraid to cry while watching movies; someone named Brianna."

He watched her, confused, as she read the lines from the book, his book. In it, he laid out his realizations, his personal thoughts. Of course he made a mistake of printing it out and the misfortune of Vanessa finding it and having it published for all of UES to read.

She closed the book and looked straight into his eyes. "I may have been in love with Brianna for a while; I just didn't want to admit it."

"You came all the way to Brooklyn to tell me I'm terrible and to read lines from my book?" He asked with a slight grin on his face. That's the first time he smiled since she entered the loft.

She cupped his face in her hands, "I should be mad at you for writing something that's both so terribly good and bad about the UES – about our personal lives. But I related so well with Brianna since the start that I realized it was me. Then I started having these flashbacks – the movie dates, the coffee walks, and god forbid, the kiss…es," He chuckled. "Then I just didn't have it in me to get mad." She looked down.

He took her hands in his and rubbed her fingers, her bare fingers, "There's no ring…" he looked at her, still rubbing her fingers. She nodded before looking back at him.

"My heart wasn't in it… Maybe Brianna is in love with David too. It just took her a while to realize it." She moved closer to him and scribbled on his chest.

"You really had flashbacks?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"In black and white. You didn't have an ugly beard then." She laughed. I love you.

"It'll grow on you." He pulled her close and kissed the top of her head. I love you.

A/N: That was short. Just wanted to get it out of my head. Review if you may :)
