Chapter 1
Carson woke up in a white room. The bed was all the way to the wall. Even though she was blind she could still "see". She'd just take off her shoes and "feel" everything around her. The last thing she remembered was Whitney's army invading her home and the team one Ghostwalkers coming to her aid. Granted she could kill all of Whitney's men with a flick of her wrist, she let them believe she was a helpless little blind woman, who didn't understand what was happening. A few of Whitney's men had gotten to her computers and were trying to steal her data. She held up her hand to them and they fell to the ground screaming. When she closed her fist they grew quiet. One of the men on team one, the one they call Kyle Forbes, who was tasked with protecting her just stood there for a while. He sort of confused her, she couldn't "see" the man, yet she knew that he had blond hair though, a little under 6'1 and had brown eyes. She felt attracted to him. Like the ground had shifted under her feet when she looked his way. That scared the hell out of her. He hustled her out of the room and towards the helicopter that was waiting in the woods behind her estate. After they got through Whitney's men and through the woods, they were finally in the helicopter. Carson passed out after that. Now, she just felt like she was being held prisoner, in the small white room. She pulled back the cover and stepped onto the floor. It was cool, and definitely tile. She knew that she had on a long sleeve V-neck white t-shirt and faded blue cotton pajama pants. Carson always wore long sleeve shirts and long pants to hide her tattoos. She never knew how they appeared. She had gotten them when she turned fifteen, on the day of her birthday; just hours after her sister had died. Carson stood up and walked in a straight line. When she got to the far end of the room, she knew she had gotten to a wall, which meant she was to the far left of the bed. When she lifted her hand to the wall, it felt cool and glass-like. Mirror, she thought. She knew the mirror had to be most of the wall, and that meant there were other people on the other side of that wall watching her. Carson walked around the room more to get a better feel of it. There was a window at the end of the room, a night stand on the left side of her bed, and the door was right beside the nightstand. She stumbled towards the door. She had to make these people think she was helpless otherwise they might "attempt" to kill her. When Carson reached the doorknob she locked it, then she went to the center of the room and sat down tailor fashioned. She closed her eyes and breathed in and out. She needed to meditated, because she couldn't afford to have a panic attack in front of these people. She could potentially kill them if she got that upset. Carson kept breathing in and out, clearing her head. She was taking a big risk, if she let herself completely go, her tattoos would glow through her clothing. So she thought about happy things, like being out in the wild forest, beautiful water falls, and ponds. She loved being outdoors. Carson could tell that the compound she was in was obviously situated far in the mountains. She put her hands on either side of her body holding them like the Buddha do. She went into a deep trance, noticing nothing around her. Not even the people looking at her on the other side of the mirror.
