Your Arms Around Me
Her bending was gone. No longer could she feel the call of the earth or hear the metal sing… no longer could she feel the slightest presence of her mother. She felt like her world was caving in as she sat in that metal cell being taunted by the very thing that made her feel alive. But she refused to cry, refused to let the tears loose. She gave it up for him, she gave up everything for him and his family and no doubt she would do it again ten times over just to make sure he was safe. The love her life, the man she would always love.
After what felt like years of being locked in that torturous cell, the all to familiar sound of swishing robes and strong wind gust brought her back to reality.
"Lin, Lin are you in here, Lin please tell me your in here?"
It was Tenzin. But how, why was he here he should've been in the South Pole by now safe with his family. She didn't know why he was here or how in spirits name he found her but she was relieved to hear his voice.
"Tenzin I'm over here!" She yelled while motioning her hand through the metal bars.
Seeing him run up to the bars and unlock the giant door was more than relief to her, but what was even more of a relief was him running in the cell and throwing his arms around her in a crushing hug pulling her flush against him.
"Spirits Lin you're alright, you're safe. I was so worried, I-I thought they had killed you." He says while holding her so tight he thought he was going to crush her.
She couldn't even bring herself to ask why he was here saving her, all she could do was melt into his embrace feeling safe in his arms. Having his arms around her made her feel safe again, not feeling weak and vulnerable like she was before he came. Feeling his strong arms around her much like the times when they were teenagers laying on Ooogi's saddle looking up at the night sky just loving the feeling of being in each others arms. It was true they had both moved on but there were still times where she missed him and just missed having his arms around her. Just standing there holding each other tight was enough for both of them to realize that they still loved each other and they always would love each other. It always amazed her how she could just lose herself in him almost like they were one, like people used to tell them they were each others yin an yang, they completed one another. But all good things have to end.
He pulled away from her dropping a quick kiss to her forehead. "Thank you Lin, thank you so much. I don't know how I could ever repay you."
"It was nothing old friend." She said while looking into his sad eyes. "I would do it again in a heart beat."
"Come on we have to go, Pema and the children are waiting outside." He said while taking her hand and leading her out of the cell.
As she ran out of the horrid equalist prison with her hand in his she realized all it took was his arms around her to feel like she was safe and at home.
Authors Note: Okay this is my first ever Linzin story/one-shot and I hope you guys liked it. It takes place during the season finale when Tenzin and the kids go on a PRISON BREAK in the words of Meelo. This is what the hardcore Linzin shipper in me feels what happened just putting that our there.
I know I know this was super horrible and crappy and OOC but I just had to get it out because I was having so me Linzin feels that it felt like they were eating me alive!
This was inspired by the song "Arms" by Christina Perri. Go listen to it and let the feels over take your soul!
Thank you for reading my lovelies - Lala
