"S-sakura..."
"No no no stop talking, don't talk, please, stop talking"
Blood trickled down his mouth and stained his flak jacket.
"Sakura, please. It's done, it's over, I'm out of chakra, I can't feel my legs anymore."
"N-no I can't let you go, please, don't go, I'm sorry. I said I'm sorry, you don't deserve this, please, oh kami, please, I'll heal you"
"Save it, there's nothing you can do. Not even Tsunade-"
"No, I-I'll heal you. Just please stop talking. Oh kami, it's everywhere"
"I promise you with all my heart-"
"S-Stop, just stop..."
Sakura wracked out a sob. Her green lit hands hovering over the deep hole where his heart should be. There was red everywhere. Her pale skin was smeared with the putrid maroon that dressed the rock she was on. The colors of his clothes were barely noticeable. A faint cough was heard and looked back up at him. More blood filled his mouth and coughed again as the blood began to trickle down to his lungs only to flow out again through the cavity in his chest.
"H-Hey, I remember when I first met you, w-we were at the Sakura festival. It was p-pretty crowded wasn't it"
"y-yeah"
"I-I was running through the crowd and I saw a spot of pink under a s-sakura tree. I saw that it was a girl and then my heart suddenly started to beat a lot, A-At that moment, I f-felt like my legs were gone and i felt like I just swallowed a thousand butterflies. She was just so pretty."
He chuckled. His head turned back to the sky. Slow tears ran down his face past his whiskers. Then he smiled.
"It's getting a bit dark don't you think, Sakura?"
"No No no no no please, no"
"What are you talking about Sakura, its like night time..."
"It's e-eight in the m-morning"
"Ha, I shouldn't even be awake then, let me sleep a bit and I'll come back with more energy"
Sakura couldn't breathe anymore, the green in her hands were faltering, the rise in his chest was barely there. Here he was dying, and he was laughing about it?
"No, don't sleep, please don't sleep. Wake up, wake up, please, oh kami, WAKE UP!"
His eyes were barely closed but they were still gazing up at the sky.
"It's over Sakura, isn't it? Can't i take a just a small nap? I'm exhausted and I can barely move. And the light is blinding me. Sakura... I-I feel like my legs are gone and I just swallowed a lot of-"
Sakura felt as if time stopped right then and there. She grabbed her mouth and began shaking. He coughed one more time and then he was still. His cerulean blue were glazed over and empty. There was no light in them. They just blankly looked up to the sky.
"No please"
"..."
"Oh kami, no"
"..."
"Please come back, please."
"..."
"N-NARUTO!"
an:/ Did I just make another depressing story? Yup. Pretty much.
